1. cause after one season Morris didn't show ANY improvement over the former HFC. I thought the Fire/Hire was suppose to bring improvement. 2. So your happy with paying a coach to leave even though his last year was better than the present coach first year. The Idea of getting a new HFC is to improve your game. Morris may blossom this year.. 3. We keep talking about Seth because he was a .500+ coach......as he sits up in Norman as the OC of the Sooners and counts all that Mean Green Greenback. I think Seth is more happy with his present position than we are with his replacement..lol

No....But I thought he was hired to take us to the promise land. We must be walking there. Do or die year for Morris...

I'll hold off on Morris being the better hire... Let's see if keeping Caponi was a smart move.

I think there will be a few surprises in the AAC. Just too much turn over in personnel in most all conference schools to really judge anybody. Maybe by end of Sept you'll see who put together a good team.

IMO this first game gets more important the closer it gets. New USA HFC Applewhite wants to show he's the real deal. Morris "needs" it to shut up those that doubt him. Then there is our former coach sitting at his favorite school in the job he has a proven record at....still counting all that Mean Green cash...lol

Pretty even..so many unknowns on both teams. This game should mean a lot to both teams. I'm sure Major Applewhite wants this game bad being he's the new coach with new QB and others. They kind of got hit by NIL/TRANSFER PORTAL too...

I don't give a sh_t what positions you create in the corporate world of college football there's only ONE thing that matters... WINNING! Behind that comes money.... Our failure at those two priorities is why we are where we are today.

70+ new players......same DC whose defense was dead last in FBS....I JUST don't see a better record than last year. HFC Morris will still be here next year regardless. But if Morris never bust more than 6 wins in 3 years and lose in a bowl you would think both Morris and Mosley would be gone. I hope Morris proves he's a football genius and I'm eating crow....

Rotated QB's thru so those present went thru drills. Cash maybe the real deal. Defense still the biggest worry but they did have some good plays. I mean we're still in wk#1 of fall practice Punters(2 that I saw) average about 35/40 yards... It was hot. Morris said they were in the IPF prior to going on DATCU field.

Yep... I did renew my season tickets this year but next year maybe I'll just buy single game tickets. Unless NT has a extraordinary year...there no reason to rush and buy tickets cause there will be plenty of seats available.

As said in another thread...a win in Mobile Alabama would help alleviate some of this doubt.

Both teams have unknowns....at this point a toss. This needs to be a win for Morris to shut down doubters like me.

It was great when NT home games were at Texas Stadium in Irving. All the NT signs and the big Eagle on the field !!! Oh wait a minute..those were blue and silver stars all over the place. I hated it to be honest...Fouts/DATCU just seemed to be a better home IMO.

This is Morris's year to prove his coaching ability. Win 6 or more he stays. That defense is the big question. Hope it doesn't bite him in his arse but if it does it will be his own fault.
