  1. We are all on a football forum on the interwebs arguing about a bunch of kids we barely know who throw a football around. Let's not judge bro. Just watch the show and engage if you feel so inclined.
  2. Prove me wrong? Are you happy with the result of 2nd half last year and this year?
  3. Let's not downplay that. We won a game that we should have destroyed. We lost a game we should have competed in. Our defense collapsed in ACU. Our team collapsed in SMU. Less "supposed to" and more "well that happened..."
  4. I'll give you upvotes for that. Glad to be on a message board, at work, complaining about our team not achieving astronomical success vs Dodge days football. I do want more, and better than what we've seen so far though!
  5. For me? It'll be me, humbled, and owning up to my mistakes, but cautious still. I think there's a misrepresentation here: No one want us to lose. No one wants Seth fired on the spot. No one wants Bodie out after 2 games (Reffett is another story, for next weeks discussion). I'd love to to see an upset. The general feeling, as far as I can tell, is that we are turning downhill. Wren and his department have stepped up and made this an amazing PR experience. The Team and coaching have so far not lived up. We fans shouldn't settle. We look upwards and onwards and take pride in our school. I've been spewing UNT propaganda all over the work place. And now I get to hear crap about it yet again.
  6. I admire what he has gone through, and struggled, and tried to make his dream happen. Been rooting for him the whole way, and still am. But health/life > football, and I wish him the best after. The guy has the resolve of steel, he'll do well whatever happens
  7. I'm grateful those wins got us on the national stage for a week or two. But the team, the staff, drop the ball every. single. time. I want to be wrong I really do. So, mediocre in CUSA is a good stopping place for you?
  8. I've stuck by them so far. I'll stick by them another 50 years, the good lawd willing. But the tuition cost of 3 degrees says I get to complain a little bit too.
  9. Even McCarney won a bowl game. Then where did we go? Follow the trend, not your historicals
  10. We aren't so different after all then. bottoms up for the mean green!
  11. How are those expectations holding up?
  12. One game is forgivable. 2 games is questionable. 3..4...5... 7? 3 bowl games, mostly blowouts. 2 blowouts to FAU and the unimpressive Lane Train. Multiple 2nd half flops. And an absolute embarrassment against a local in town rival? Do we need to continue? Cause there's more. Do we NEED another Portland state to finally say enough? Or do we make the seat hot now before it happens? SL needs to finally step up and show he's that generational talent we all hope for. So far, he's "middle ground" ok. Not McCarney or Dodge bad. But just...better?
  13. I came off extremely bitter and judgmental against our coaching staff upper limits and capability. I've had 2 days to sober up and reflect on it... And nothing has changed. There was no upside to Saturday. Not even the glory of watching the 'boys curb-stomp the giants. This team has no excuse to perform that badly. Am I wrong to expect better? Or are we going to settle back into #olddenton?
  14. I will gladly eat my words if things improve. GLADLY. But we've been headed downhill for about a year now. I've lived through the dark ages. The days of dodge, big and lil' Mac. The seat has to start getting hot at some point if we want to trend up, not back down. This really feels like a down to me... Also:
  15. I know it's a "hot take". I love Seth. Everyone loves Seth. But the job only gets half done every year. It's year 4. It's his class. And we just got embarrassed in Dallas. I don't think it's an over reacting reaction to say maybe it's time to take it to the next level? I see no evidence that it gets better than this yet.
  16. And it's been downhill since. Name a big moment after those? You can't. Maybe he's peaked. If he has, we need to do better, not wait it out or stall out
  17. So at what point is SL good? He's improved over Mccarney sure... but our OC and DC are both poor. Recruiting didn't fill the holes. We got out coached in this, 3 bowl games, and how many other 2nd half flops? I like the guy. But I'm starting to wonder if he is THE guy?
  18. At this point, do you want him to be? Trend is quickly turning against him...
  19. Name the last big game that Seth won. I'll wait.
  20. You guys have every right to bag on us for this one. This was embarrasing
  21. I'd be less worried about them than I am about rice/utep/utsa at this point... This is more than an embarrassing game. It might be a low point for Seth.
  22. Just means more ABV. Dip some chips in it and go to town
