***OFFICIAL UNT vs. La.Tech Game Thread****
Udomann replied to Coach Andy Mac's topic in Mean Green Football
All joking aside, I do technically believe we have more yards right now than we did at end of first quarter... Uh... stanza... Last week -
I think LaTe puts up 40+. And, since we don't throw an interception on the first play of the game, we get 12. All field goals

Ruder Ain't it. Aune Ain't it. Let's just toss one of the newbies to the sharks and see how fast he can swim. I say Drummond, but at this point I'd take an angry panda bear in a jersey if it actually could throw a ball.

So it Monday and we are back to square one with no changes

Honestly, the best position that I can see for us is to wait a few more games before letting SL go. And I say this as one of the long standing anti-mumbles crowd. Why? The way his buyout is structured. He has (apparently) a requirement to pursue other positions. The best chance he has to get one is later in the season, not now. Letting him go now has him knocking around the market for a while, doing nothing since no one is really hiring good OC's at the moment. Come November when teams start canning staff, we want him to be at the top of the market. MAYBE his stock improves by then. It can't get worse, so we get the benefit of that improvement in both our win/loss and and his marketability. If he lays more stinkers, well, we are already sitting in a closet of them, learn to embrace the stink. The only gain from canning him now is we show we are serious about our staff. The gain from waiting is it vastly improves our financial future due to his hideous contract costs. No one is salivating over Seth right now. But just maybe something can change in the next 2 months to make folks squint really...REALLLLY hard and see something salvageable. -

Think your pissed and frustrated... I quit drinking this week for a weight loss competition. I'm currently reading the labels on all our cough medicine to see if there's any alcohol content for me to salvage this game. -

Well f*ck that luck... Friggin nice game winning drive

With or without the band? Cause that'll change the number dramatically

Certainly a lot of us would do a lot more for 300k... but I agree. He's got a comfy ride into retirement there with a group that loves him. I wouldn't leave that.

Briles most important role for now, or the future, is to be an example of what not to do. His precedent sets the boundary on coaching accountability and should be considered untouchable by any FBS team. How much is Bill Clark making with UAB? He seems to be a passionate, fantastic, and experienced coach. Downside is recruiting experience in Texas, which is a sport of its own. Maybe a few extra dollar bills would help...?

yup. It's an alternative watch of the game while ESPN has the traditional broadcast. It wasn't without a couple hiccups, being a first, but it was a hoot to watch. Learned a lot of things from a QBs perspective that you just won't get from normal commentary
-
Thanks for the heads up on this last night. Was one of the better game commentaries I've watched. Not watered down for the casual watchers, lots of joking and poking fun at each other. Looking forward to the next one

If Wren isn’t breathing down Seths kneck like that creepy gym teacher on a senior girls prom night then I might be losing faith in him too. I can’t imagine they haven’t talked about this yet
-
Just because someone else is worse off doesn’t make us good. Just because we are better than someone else doesn’t make us good. there’s a lot of logical fallacies here. In the larger population, Seth is just not good no matter the paycheck or comparison.

You think they wouldn't have restructured his buyout if he wasn't near the hot seat? His seat is hot. Another year of this and it will be flaming hot enough to get away with wearing skinny jeans in public.

And excerpt from my new book "fifty shades of green" "...the quarterback slowly and delicately ran the ball 2 yards for a 3rd and 8th before being swallowed passionately by the rush defender. As he laid in this back, stars in this eyes and sweat dripping down his thick, red, kneck, he whispered to the coach 'lets do it again'. But the wide receiver looked deeply into his lit up eyes and reminded him it was his turn. 'I want you to hit me right in the chest. And it want you to watch me drop it'. " Stay tuned for more of the new York times next bestseller
