I can think of 2 million reasons on how to counter that... -
Is this our best team since Harrell left?

For what it's worth, we are still here watching along with you. Every week. And will still be next year. This is what a forum is for, to express our shared interest in the program, good or bad. My own proclivities aside, we aren't here to do each-others nails and drink mimosas (I mean, I would if we had some. mimosas. not nails). We are here to fart, burp, complain, cheer, and enjoy the shared highs and low. We are more of just a bunch of dumb gorillas moaning on the interwebs about a bunch of almost-adults who don't meet our standards. But moan we will. And drink. And moan more. Now I need to go set an appointment with my manicurist. -
What triggers a Seth Extension in your mind?

I'm, obviously, voting under no circumstances. We have a richly rewarded coach leading a mediocre team against a bunch of sh!tty teams. I don't care how good that w/l looks on paper, it's not enough for the future. Crowds aren't going to look better while we sit at the bottom of AAC/CUSA 2.0. Looking to the future means not doubling down on where we are. For 2M a year I'm sure we can get a hell of a coach in to take us to another level. Extending seth is just asking someone who you were ready to break up with on one last date only to be taken to mcdonalds. It's crappy and greasy, but it sure taste good in the moment. -

It's almost like we haven't reached his ceiling after 7 years, in the worst conference, for more money than anyone else here is close to getting. THAT is what's insane. It's not about what he's done, it's about how much more he should have done. Someone could do so much better with so much less. And they have. Keep on tootin' that horn for Uncle Seth though. I'm sure he'll invite you to thanksgiving dinner -
True. But I could walk into a gym, find the toughest guy there, and just sucker punch him and see what happens or... I could walk up to a playground, punch a kid, steal their lunch money. The results are there. I know I'm a bit of a downer lately, but I just have such a hard time getting excited about anything related to the sinking ship that is CUSA.

A. You aren't wrong. And beyond my ability to believe might have sold me on what Bloesch can do. Guy might be a miracle worker B. CUSA. That's all. Thats my entire defense

This is 100% what NIL was meant go be. Glad to see some good fruit from that tree.

Zeke has shown some great flashes of this early years. He is definitely a power back. Pollards fills the versatile role very well. Plus zeke is just fast for a giant ewok

So we are still ranked well below the leftovers. Not improving that outlook much
-
Maybe dude. But don't call me dude, bro
-
Uh... Dude. Its his 7th season. He can't get over that hurdle
-
And that's a fair critique. We can only have hope for what's ahead. Just feels like celebrating mediocrity. King of the junkyard when we could be so much more... I need to go yell at some kids to get off my yard.
-
Its not vitriol. I don't "want him gone so badly" but more of "he came and did what he could". We reached his ceiling and someone could do a lot better. I've stated before my expectations. Decisively win the conference and be a bowl champ who doesn't get blown out. He just can't seem to get over that hurdle.
-
I feel like we are all forgetting this is CUSA here. We got shredded by what are, currently, the 6th and 8th ranked team in AAC. I'm all for cerebrating the little things, but we aren't AAC ready. Especially with what its costing us. Yesterday was a solid win, but everyone is now acting like we are world beaters and our highly overpriced coach is finally hitting his stride in year 7. Fool me once... But not 7 times

Only Extend Seth Littrell Only if...
Udomann replied to NorthTexasWeLove's topic in Mean Green Football
He already is doing that on his own. Do you really need 2 more years to make it an official decade? -
Seth Littrell vs Willie Fritz - spookily similar
Udomann replied to TheColonyEagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Basing the probability on an outlier scenario has very near zero correlation. One successful example doesn't outweigh 40 unsuccessful ones -

He lost that right 2 seasons ago. Should have been gone after last season, so straw manning us saying we will "still have reasons" is a complete misfire. He should be gone already. Anything short of a miracle season is reason enough to get rid of him. We already have reasons, and nothing yet says we were wrong.
-
The hand HAS played out. We've seen what happens several times before. Stop well-wishing some dream scenario where we get to go to the prom with coach mumbles and win the crown. Its gonna be more pigs blood, and you know it
