Only if we win... I made the comment in last weeks game thread that it felt like anything could happen. We could pull off an upset win or go full Littrell. Now, I have the same exact feeling, but different. We can get an upset loss or get Stellas our groove back

But seriously guys. Everyone here has as much right to rant and vent as others do to glow up and praise. It's how the internet works. Common interest, uncommon views. Otherwise it'd be a pretty boring place, right?

Good god, did anyone even remotely have this being a Marquee game on their bingo card 10 years ago? Things have really gone topsy turvy (well, except for here, where it's just another year at UNT football)

I really don't want to come off as snooty or hateful. I like coach Morris, I really do. He says all the right things and obviously he wants to succeed. But the big hitter question needed to be: how did he not see this coming? Maybe the spotlight gets to you, but there were major fundamental deficiencies. How was that missed?

Who says we don't have some name-brand recognition? There's no excuse to not have heard of North Texas

That money is likely not getting bigger because of fans (exemplified by dropping attendance across the board at football games), but by the school and donors who are learning you can now buy wins instead of working for them. I don't mind if a player gets paid his fair share for usage of his value to drive revenue. It's the uncapped, uncontrolled, and uncompetitive amount they are playing ball for.

I HATE the new models. I want to watch UNT players. I don't want to watch UNT's rent-a-team play like SMU has. NIL+Portal has killed college football. Unfortunately, we have to roll with it or die.

Because we watched them play? I watched top tier teams play and the talent/skill is obvious. Theirs was not. And they lost their starter QB. Im no coach, but I have eyes.

One of the best takes I've read on our fandom. I watched every last miserable moment of that game. Like I did every game for the past 10 years. We have a fever... And the only prescription is more UNT sports. Hopefully with wins

Honestly, we saw they team on the field. Its not which team was good or bad. We just simply played awful. We looked awful. There is no magic team we play where we don't look bad after that game. That is what scares me.

True, but just saying that was one of the most overhyped and underperforming starts I have ever seen. We looked completely outmatched, underprepared, undersized and out coached. There were no positive take aways from that game, which has a very familiar ring to it.
