  1. Nah. I'm going to abuse my American right and bitch the entire time. LET'S DO THIS!!
  2. Fun fact about AI: Surprisingly easy to confuse it in it's training phase. We've been trying to implement some predictive modeling with our reporting and stress testing it's capabilities. Feed it a sufficiently complex algorithm where multiple results are possible, then tell it it is wrong (I.e. Chatgpt). Continue to do so from multiple sources and the AI will start feeding false data. So unless you have an enclosed AI system (which defeats the purpose of training from multiple sources), you can probably feed it a ton of false data/plays/reads and produce ineffective results. And let's be honest, at the revenue generation level of the NFL, people will be feeding that system every poor madden scenario possible. Crap goes in and crap comes out. Is AI useful? Sure. Is it coming for your job? yeah...not there yet.
  3. Isn't he retirement age yet? Why risk his lower back, knees, and kidneys on a kids game?
  4. There really aren't any internal candidates at that level. Athletic band director usually also teaches the lowest tier concert bands. That would be the equivalent of promoting a graduate assistant to a full time coordinator. You want a few years of experience under them. On paper the hire looks solid. Sometimes things just need a year or two to work it out (right caponi?)
  5. Can't tell if sarcasm or not. But what would be the expected prerequisites? Guyer is a legit program and a great stepping stone to the next level. Maybe a mismatch for them on special interest (low football band iq vs high performance iq). Nobody is ever going to go from a high level concert director position at the next level to a marching band and low level concert director. Qualifications for judgment: got a degree in trombone performance from UNT
  6. You guys are reading the thread in hindsight. The people are posting in real time. There will always be a big disconnect from post game highs (or lows). The discussion thread is a play by play that will see each play as raw as it is. Should posters predict the future? Or wait until after the game to post? Or just have fun posting good or bad about the game?
  7. Tulane is ranked 23 this week. I don't expect a complete meltdown, but it's not gonna be a very close game. 24-48 tulane
  8. UTSA is looking pretty vulnerable. If our defense keeps improving then I see a very possible win
  9. I believe that's called a running back
  10. Ah, a fellow Dallas fan? My Kegels have never been stronger since I became one.
  11. So, what's your take on the game aside from insulting fellow fans? You're just fueling the same fire you want to extinguish. Be the difference
  12. Just a solid fun win against a pretty out of shape opponent. Defense will still get sliced up by good teams, but they never quit either, so cheers to that. Maclin is a monster, we gotta find a way to keep him next year. Hope we continue this momentum with Tulane.
  13. As laughably bad as our defense can be... their passing game is so so much worse. Almost feel bad for them
  14. Our guys have so little awareness on D. You can see the tunnel vision in effect almost every play
  15. Could have just walked that in for a score... that was sheer embarrassment for Caponi
  16. Seeing a lot more variety on the defense front already. Tackling is still a mess though
  17. Game is a coin toss. UNT by 3 in overtime Final score 14-17
  18. It is the reality though. Yes... it absolutely sucks. But we are neither powerful enough or in a position to change it. So either we throw some cars at the kids or we abandon FBS football. At least until things course correct.
  19. I'm unsure where you got the idea that anyone here didn't think they would. Dumb reply?
  20. UAB maybe, if Dilfer completes his mental breakdown in time
