1981 Lehigh vs Penn, 59-0. We tied for last at 66-7

The worst score of an FCS team beating a FBS team was 1981 when Lehigh beat Penn 59-0. (I know it was not FBS and FDS then) It was a lower division school beating a top level school. New record.

Collin Community College has 50,000 plus students in all programs. They have some kind of arrangement with Texas Tech to get a degree and stay in the metroplex. That is a huge population of students and UNT should tap into it as soon as possible.

Well coached and disciplined teams do not turn over the ball 4 times in a game. Every Pop Warner Coach teaches no turnovers. Good teams find a way to win, bad teams find a way to loose. Been that way since the first football game was played.

Portland State is 2-0 after a bye this week. They lead the Big Sky Conference. First game of the year they beat Mike Leach Washington State team.I think they have had no fumbles and 1 interception We are going to have to work for a W in that game.

I still enjoy the thought of SMU having a 1st and goal from the 2 and we stopped them. A bright light in what turned out to be a difficult night. I engage in selective thinking and I choose to remember that series because I liked it. Reminded me of the Rice game, 2 years ago when we held them out of the end zone in 8 straight plays. We must take our pleasure where we can get it, in a mostly unpleasant world. There will be those that complain about any positive quote, but that does not diminish one good series.

Someone smarter than me said.........if you burn your neighbors house down, it doesn't make yours look any better. We are going to have to play the hand we are dealt this year. It does no one any good to make personal attacks on players, even if their play might deserve it. I do not think any players goes on the field with the intent to play a bad game. They are however limited by their talent and ability. No O lineman wants to be born with the foot speed of a begonia nor does any q back ever want his punter to be exhausted after the game.

I enjoyed the day. Was good football weather and UNT fans and students showed up as fine representatives of the school. I was at last years game and we made a much better showing as a fan base than they did at Apogee. Did my part, bought 18 tickets and every seat was filled. The 4th quarter was a huge let down. I graduated 45 years ago and have had a lot of "wait until next year" moments. I just hope I don't run out of airspeed and altitude before that next year, gets here. GMG

I am reminded of some obscure quote, by someone who attended a game like we did yesterday. The day after, I reflect and understand the quote. "We can't run and we can't pass. We can't stop the run and we can't stop the pass. Other than that, we are just not a very good football team right now"

we have 18 people. Meeting at a sports bar in Northpark. When game time gets near we are using Uber big suv's to go to the game. Cars stay in covered parking and no $30 parking at SMU

I bought 18 tickets in section 123 via Ticketmaster. It was way easy as you can print them at home. All our seats are UNT fans.
