Is Tisdale the next man up?

So with SMU joining the ACC this season, no $ from the conference for what, like the next 7 years, or so? There must be a ton of $ being generating from CFP for the ACC…but not SMU…where is it all coming from?

So who is the QB?

What about defensively? I’m sure it’s mentioned somewhere else, but a few defensive plays were blown as well…Army possessed the ball damn near the whole 3rd quarter…imagine what a Mean Green defensive stop in the 3rd would have done for the outcome of the game…

I can root for a championship and not pay any NIL. UNT already has my money. Exorbitant TV revenue deals with networks and conferences (and thereby schools) created this NIL mess, not me the fan. Why should I now pay to be able to cheer on my college?

Here are the teams today which the Mean Green should be chasing after in terms of G5 college playoff contention. Navy and Liberty received top 25 ranking votes this week. The Mean Green have the same opponents in Memphis and Temple and UAB as Navy does. Navy faces Notre Dame in late October. Texas Tech was UNT’s only opportunity for a Power 5 win… GMG

My wife and I attended the game and I now would prefer a Traditional Marching Band. That piped in music was too loud and drowned out any other sounds of the game. GMG

I wonder how many of the Mean Green starters in the trenches are Juniors or Seniors? I read in an article a season or so ago about Dana H the coach from Houston who was really excited about his team’s depth of Seniors and fifth year players. How does the Mean Green look experience-wise?

Per ESPN it appears there’s only three- contests this season the Mean Green have a higher % to win - all others UNT is not projected to win. So for what it’s worth…and that might change throughout the season, but for now it appears ESPN isn’t very high on North Texas’ talent nor coaching yet…

Someone wrote earlier that the O line has improved in size…looks like the Mean Green have ‘bolstered’ their O line and increased their ‘chemistry’…

So as weird as it is to write this, am I to presume that IF the Mean Green are to win the conference (I know, I know), is it fair to ASSume that the AAC would produce the highest ranked G5 CFP contender? Does it appear as if a win-and-in situation would be in front of UNT? Realistically, is there a situation whereby AAC champ plays a first round bye team?

Wonder if there’s enough size to win a championship?

Looks like a really competitive team in the much improved Sun Belt plus it’s an away game to open the season your thoughts?

Doesn't the Mean Green face two G5 expected champs this season? Can the American conference produce the best G5 team? Win and we’re in?

So in the past UNT would play Texas and receive something like )500k…shouldn’t it now follow that those games should pay the team with less budget much more to play, like 4x that much, based on the revenue these athletic departments garner ? Or why play them?

Is it a Win and In? Automatic qualify? GMG
