  1. Apparently we are. The staff has brought in many offensive linemen and a P5 transfers running back. Seems to me they're putting together a QB friendly offense.
  2. So you predicted the guy with 2400 yards, 15 tds 7 interceptions would have 3400 yards 29 tds to 5 interceptions in 10 games after one offseason? He had never started at the FBS level prior to ULM. He was not a multi-year FBS starter with crazy numbers. He had one season prior to UNT.
  3. Yes it's a big jump but we've seen it before here and elsewhere. The big offensive linemen and established running game will help. I just find the QB panic funny when Rogers did not come here as an established FBS QB. There's time and if not, our coaches are supposed to be experts. I'm not panicking at QB like I am at DL.
  4. Why isn't he ready? If there's no transfer in the works and he beats out Earle, what's wrong with a 6'4" 220 pound QB who had 3600 total yards and 51 total TDs his senior season?
  5. "R-E-L-A-X," - Aaron Rodgers
  6. But didn't each of those 3 guys come here via the portal? So we do love it or not?
  7. I saw something by coach O the other day on Twitter that related to his Twitter handle "TrustMyEyes." The philosophy is who cares who else has offered the kids. If you like the tape and you think he fits, offer the kid. We'll see if it works.
  8. Allegedly
  9. He's injured, again. Got hurt against Tulane.
  10. This is on ESPN News currently. Honestly excited to watch. Not every day the sons of 2 former NFL QBs are facing off in a college game. Cole Pennington for Marshall and Owen McCown for UTSA.
  11. He's chasing the NFL. Unfortunately, he didn't realize putting up 4000 yards and 40 TDs at UNT is better than warming the bench elsewhere. He's good enough to start almost anywhere but if Cal lands the former number 1 overall recruit, that guy may win the QB battle on name alone.
  12. I liked Landis in limited snaps. I think he's good enough to get snaps at many FBS schools if he's not getting them at A$M. I am, however, intrigued at who this Huge prospect could be. @GMG24, am I correct in my earlier assumption that it's a RB since you posted this in the RB thread?
  13. And all of a sudden there's "5" more minutes. Guess I'll tune in to the ESPN App.
  14. While I don't think a college player should ever get 7 years of eligibility, he only played 5 years and the first year was only 3 games. That said, eligibility should only be 4 years plus 1 redshirt, IMO, no matter the injuries or anything else. His career should have been done 2 years ago.
  15. He's actually not playing. Good time to see what UTSA has in store at QB. Colorado transfer Owen McCown, son of former NFL QB Josh McCown is starting.
  16. So when Chandler Rogers realizes he may end up 2nd on the Cal depth chart, do we want him back here? The awkward moment when your new school is shopping for a 5 star QB.
  17. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt because he just left Texas. He's lived the P5 dream and it didn't work out the way he wanted. That's why he entered the portal to begin with. Let's hope he remembers...
  18. Considering it's in a RB thread, I think this would be another running back.
  19. More and more QBs keep entering.
  20. He thanks Tarleton and says he has flipped to UNT.
  21. I think I saw this from some Texas A&M players that they didn't get paid what they thought they would. Wonder if they did get the gross dollar amount but taxes killed them, if it's what you said, or both.
  22. That's absolutely wild. This is where having a video game numbers offense will help, IMO. Some guys will be left out of the top NIL craze and may choose to come UNT for a couple years to boost their stock for that grad transfer money. Pro athletes do this occasionally where they take a smaller and/or shorter deal to gamble on themselves for a better deal long-term. Big NIL deals may only come for one year for most guys unless they end up the starter and put up big numbers. Younger QBs may see $400k to fight for a number 1 spot as a risk 2 years down the line because the NIL deal will run out after that 1 year. If they end up QB2, that $400k may be their only NIL deal. Or come to UNT put up 4000 yards and 35+ TDs and then go to one of the blue bloods and get $1.5 mil. Up to you. Hopefully this makes sense as I'm probably just rambling.
  23. Hudson Emeterio has some pop in his film. Really lays the wood. I can see him being next year's Landon Sides but on the defensive side. Something to think about when observing his 6'4" 225 pound frame is this baseball prospect website says his age is 17 years and 8 months. Talk about having room to grow. https://www.perfectgame.org/players/playerprofile.aspx?ID=744816
