  1. Current NET rankings as well
  2. It's been said already but Tony Mitchell for the simple reason that we really need the size and rim protection. Actually, we'd also need his post presence on offense. We've now won 2 games without 2 starting guards. While either Hamlet or Perry would be the best player on this team, they also don't play positions of need for us right now. Comes down to Bell and Mitchell but I give the edge to TM because he's just bigger.
  3. I don't even need to go back to the early season tournament. I just want the Boise State and Fordham wins. We'd have a Quad 1 road win against a premier MWC team and zero Q3/Q4 losses.
  4. I think we often exaggerate injury prone when we talk about football players. Most football players get hurt and play hurt. The question with Morris isn't when will he get hurt, the question is how severe will the injury be and if he has to miss time, how much? SMU, Tulane, and UTSA all lost their QB1 to injury at some point this past season. It happens. Also, about Morris' injuries, he hasn't suffered any season ending injuries the past 2 seasons. When he got hurt in 2022, Max Duggan just took off with the starting job and never gave it back. Morris was only out for about a month.
  5. Without knowing what his body language and tone was like, it seems like he misses Denton a bit. Like a quick flashback to happier times.
  6. Well, thank goodness Temple at least scored 50.
  7. The fact many think they'll score in the mid to high 60s is interesting.
  8. Yup it sure does seem that way. He's a great fan.
  9. This is why I love Mark Followill. I know it's not the DMN but he is the play-by-play announcer of the Dallas Mavericks and loves his Mean Green. Also several of The Fan radio guys give regular shootouts to the Mean Green since many attended North Texas. Any media attention is great to get.
  10. Looks like Milroe is staying. I don't think Rogers is following a coach he never played for to Alabama.
  11. QB Will Rogers is back in the portal. He had committed to Washington after leaving Kansas State.
  12. Chandler Rogers beat teams with a combined record of 19-40. Pavia had 35 total TDs. Not like he wasn't productive.
  13. For sure. Dude is a top notch competitor.
  14. You mean the QB who led New Mexico State to 10 wins includng a win against Auburn on the road where he threw 3 TDs and 0 Interceptions? He'd be a massive get. Pavia has the *it*.
  15. Per CBS, DeBoer is the next Alabama HC
  16. But you know which freshman will be on campus this spring? Cash McCollum.
  17. As it's been said, he didn't want to leave his job. Plus, he needs 1 more year of being a head coach in college football to be eligible for the college football hall of fame. If that matters to him, it's a golden opportunity to go out on top when he's actually ready.
  18. Pete Carroll would make some sense. He's a player's coach who could keep the roster together. Huge name with college success who could keep things going for this next season. Get him for 2-3 years while you figure out who your next guy is without making a hasty decision. The benefit to Carroll? He needs 1 more season of coaching at the college level to be eligible for the College Football Hall of Fame.
  19. And I personally felt like the foul on that 3 was weak. Just don't like teams getting bailed out on weak calls like that. If it's egregious then sure, call it, but it was hard to see the contact IMO and, even though it resulted in no contact, the leg kickout by the FAU shooter made it appear like a flop to me.
  20. The AAC is wide open. Let's keep pressing forward this Saturday against Temple. Great opportunity to start 3-0 in conference play.
  21. Yes Memphis had 15 free throw attempts between the 4:48 mark to the end of regulation. During that time, Memphis made 2 field goals. In that same time, UTSA had 5 free throw attempts.
  22. Neither of these are egregious fouls and Memphis was not being officiated the same way. Did you watch the game? If you didn't, you won't understand how bad the officiating was.
  23. I did watch the game and it was BS. Regarding the 45 UTSA 3s vs 23 Memphis 3s, so Memphis never got too close to a UTSA shooter on those 45 attempts but they call this for a Memphis 4 point play? But really it's this stuff I had issue with. A good, solid screen with seconds left in the game and they blow the whistle. Illegal screens can get tricky but I don't see the UTSA player leaning in or to the side to make himself bigger. If you want to say he was late to the spot and was still moving, I'd say it's not obvious and I don't believe it's worthy of the whistle. Would have given UTSA an uncontested dunk to take the lead with less than 6 seconds left since the whistle was blown at 6 left to go.
