Doesn't even look like Rogers will start at Cal
GMG_Dallas replied to peanuts104's topic in Mean Green Football
As stated, this does not count. She's the premier athlete of her game and has been offered $5 million to join the Big 3 basketball for a single season after college. No other college basketball player, male or female, has had that kind of offer. One does not represent the thousands of college basketball players there are. -
Looking at things from a non-UNT lense, SMU and Memphis both need to be looking for new coaches. Too much size, athleticism, and talent to not have had better seasons. Not sure how many seniors y'all have but next year will be rough if the leadership doesn't change.

All basketball gyms in the DFW area are booked this weekend.

Same. Makes me proud of where this program is today.

USF advances in the NIT. First day of tournament games and the AAC has wins against the SEC and BIG12.
-
Virginia knocked out in a blowout loss to Colorado State. Hoo saw that coming?!?

Great revenge win! The good guys move on.
-
Same. Looks like Hannibal snapped his head back before any contact. Anyways, these guys have got to hit their free throws!

Yes for sure. 5 more and go back-to-back. Would be a huge accomplishment. Thanks for the correction. -

Super excited about this rematch. Glad these guys, especially the seniors, get to play one more game together. -
Absolutely. Get them into foul trouble now and it will serve us well late in the game.
-
All I know is there's a lot of basketball left. FAU looks tired. Would be good to take advantage before the end of the half.
-
Update to the above, Vasquez of UAB is ejected.
-
Wichita State hanging in early with UAB. Potential big call coming up as they review some pulling and punching.
-
I'm certainly not looking past anyone. Three out of four games yesterday resulted in an upset so it would be foolish for any of us to dismiss potential opponents. That said, it's called March Madness for a reason. We can compete with any team left. I was nervous about SMU and Memphis due to their athleticism and length but they lost. UAB worries me for the same reason but their team is pretty bipolar, just like SMU and Memphis, so I feel good if we have to play them.
-
Get past FAU and this is ours for the taking. I know we've struggled against UAB and Charlotte as well but I think it's all mental.

CJ has been incredible.

And down goes Memphis. Glad WSU got the upset.
-
Wichita State missed 3 free throws here in the final minute. WSU up in a 4 point game with 9 seconds left.
-
If I'm not mistaken, Kansas was down their top 2 leading scorers. Not sure this win does much for Cincinnati other than give them another game to play.

On the UTSA-Temple broadcast, they said recent projections show FAU as a 9 seed, USF as a 12 if they get the autobid (probably not in otherwise like you said), and Memphis as a first four out. Really just depends on what happens in other conference tournaments at this point. I'm guessing the broadcasters were going off Lunardi's predictions as that's about what he has as well. Obviously I want us to get the auto bid. Either way, it would be great for the conference to send 3 teams to the Big Dance. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-2024-march-madness-men-field-predictions

QB commit - Chandler Morris - transfer from TCU

Fun Fact about Jordan McCloud. His brother Ray-Ray McCloud has been in the NFL since 2018 but they're only 3 years apart. This grown man (Jordan) will be 25 in November and has been in college since 2018, the same year his brother was drafted. Hopefully one day college sports will mostly be played by college-aged kids again. Seven years in college is too damn much. Edit to add: since 2018, his brother Ray-Ray has played for 4 different NFL teams (Bills, Panthers, Steelers, 49ers). With Jordan going to Texas State, he will now be on his 4th different FBS team since 2018 (South Florida, Arizona, James Madison, Texas State). -
Will we have anymore HOF players

Is Rubin Jones not an example of a HOF player?
