Clearly some are taking the loss pretty hard... Just expect a similar response when UTSA's day comes.

It was a bad game defensively and offensively. They scored on us at will but the offense set the tone early with turnovers (interception and fumble) as well giving them the early possessions to take such a big lead early on. We all know the best way to beat an up tempo team is to control the ball and let your defense rest. We did the exact opposite and could not have played worst on offense. I don't want to give the defense a pass but let's look at this from all angles and realise the offense helped set up the massacre. At the end of the day, we're still 4-3. One terrible defensive performance is not enough to risk tossing the entire season by firing coaches mid-season. There's still hope for the year. Don't be foolish. Because if you fire the DC for that game you better fire somebody on the offensive side too.

*****OFFICIAL UNT vs. FAU GAME THREAD*****

Bs reffing. Now they start calling offensive holds but it happened all first quarter. Then the elbow is down but not whistled. Won't be surprised to hear down the line Kiffin and/or Briles rigged games. I can understand missed calls, but this seems excessive. -
And Guyton! Great to see so much Mean Green on a nationally recognized twitter page.

Biggest Win against a JUCO in Program History!
GMG_Dallas replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Went 98 yards with about 1:10 left and no timeouts. Great 4th quarter for the most part. -
Tv stream is several minutes behind. I'm getting off here so I can watch with no surprises.

Regarding threads for players we aren't recruiting

I'm not a scout or some football savant. I also haven't seen him play since last season. From what you've seen and what you know about the coaching staff, do you think he's worth a look despite having 2 QBs committed? He's pretty well rated by scout and 247, has good size, and I would hate for him to go to another FBS school in ULM and be a legit FBS starter for the next 5 years when he's local and we would probably have a shot at him. He passed for 1 td and ran 3 in last night against Poteet. -
South Alabama should have scheduled LSU for this year. If my math is correct, Troy>LSU and USA>Troy therefore USA>LSU. If LSU beats Bama, South Alabama should be ranked number 1 since USA>Troy>LSU>Bama. USA will be the first G4 (because P6 and math) team in the playoffs.

Early look at UTSA's next opponent: North Texas
GMG_Dallas replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Got to hold on to this article until the next time we play Indiana then. -
Boise State has actually been much stronger on defense this year. They've only put up more than 28 points once this year. Not sure that matchup would give us the offensive explosion you're expecting but who knows. They're usually strong on offense and it's still fairly early in the season...

Early look at UTSA's next opponent: North Texas

Apparently Seth Littrell is in his 3rd season with the team and is 11-12 as HC here. With all of the resources available, this writer still manages to get so many facts wrong... -
I just want to point out the value of Trevor Moore and his PAT record. Florida could have tied LSU late but missed the PAT on a late TD. Similar issue here for La Tech. Makes me appreciate Moore even more.

Wasn't one of our two QB commits potentially offered as a PWO? I get what you're saying, though. -

Thank you. That's what I ended up doing. The email it leads to seems to be the same for all on the page (Untfootball@unt.edu) but I appreciate the help! I know there's already 2 committed but one isn't getting much playing time this year and I don't know much about kason Martin but he seems to be legit. Having 2 committed shouldn't mean we ignore late bloomers who are ready physically and are tearing it up senior year. Colby Suits has over 1300 passing yards with 18 TDs and 3 interceptions at the 5A level this year. He's physically ready (6 ft 3, 220 pounds), is playing lights out, and has another FBS offer (something many gripe about on here). I think it's worth a look. -

I'll see if I can find it online later. Thanks! -
Probabilities are from ESPN. If you click on any specific matchups you'll see the win probabilities. ESPN states they are based on ESPN's football power index.

Highlight of my student career: Halloween night against Rice during the great stand game. My buddy and I are yelling at the Rice bench. My buddy tells their defensive coordinator to go recruit better players and the coach turns around, looks at us, and tells us to F off. Definitely better than the times I was threatened to be ejected.

Slow first quarter but we've been pretty dominant in my opinion. Getting big plays at will. 4th down conversations havr been plentiful as well. -

Per Wikipedia, his nunbers already put him in the top 10 for career passing yards all time at UNT and he's only played what, 13 total career games here? Impressive. -

Regarding threads for players we aren't recruiting
GMG_Dallas replied to BillySee58's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I've looked through several threads and can't find the email to send prospects to the coaching staff. Can somebody please point me in the right direction? I've got a quarterback I want to send them. Name is Colby Suits of North Forney Falcons. He's a senior this year and only has 1 offer from ULM which he has committed to. He's 6 foot 3 and 222 pounds per scout and 247. Listed as a 3 star by scout and 247. Scout has him as the number 4 pro style qb in Texas. Sophomore and junior year were slow but he's exploded this year. He accounted for 10 touchdowns (400 passing yards and 200 rushing) alone two weeks ago against Wylie East and his team has put up 68, 56, 56, 70, and 42 (only loss to highland park) in the first 5 games. I've watched some Hudl videos and he's made some pretty good throws. No bs wide open guys in the recent videos. Looks like a man amongst kids because of his size so remember he plays 5A football in the dfw areas. Here are his pages: https://247sports.com/player/colby-suits-88050 https://www.scout.com/Player/Colby-Suits-88050 http://www.hudl.com/profile/3928441/colby-suits -
Bein does a great job. I would pay for their channel if they carried more UNT games. Should add that I harassed my dad for his Sling log in so I could watch the game.

What Southern Miss Fans Are Saying About UNT
GMG_Dallas replied to AustinFromUNT's topic in Mean Green Football
I mean, considering our recent history I really can't blame them but it'll make it all the more sweet when we beat them. -
I'm with you there. These next two games won't make or break bowl eligibility but I'm looking at their importance in the division race.
