  1. That's awesome.
  2. I'm only half paying attention, but are we saying UNT *only* totes those programs? Cause if you are, then you're only half paying attention.
  3. Right, and neither Thompson nor Buyers were those athletes. Hopefully the slot guys are fed as consistently as they were, but producing more. I want to see Smiley do some damage in the Y and a guy like Hair-Griffin or even Darden to come out of nowhere and beat everyone out of the water for the A spot.
  4. Hopefully a TE can match that production, and not be the most productive receiver. That would be a good thing.
  5. ...so this is how we get old dudes to talk about uniforms
  6. Mesh with TD to the drag route https://youtu.be/eFVvNms7Now?t=4m46s Cross to Buyers big gain https://youtu.be/eFVvNms7Now?t=56s Slot curl to Buyers big gain https://youtu.be/JZqdwtD81F4?t=3m42s To the slot, converts 3rd down vs Rice https://youtu.be/JZqdwtD81F4?t=8m24s Thaddeous runs a Y-stick for afirst https://youtu.be/CyH-WYHHAjc?t=3m56s Levels, TD to Buyers https://youtu.be/CyH-WYHHAjc?t=4m51s It's in there, but duties were split by Thaddeous (Y) and Buyers (A) mostly. Slot was our most productive position, though it could be more efficient. We need the explosive playmakers creating more plays *more often* like Buyers did in those first few videos. Regardless, swing passes and designed QB runs will be a part of the playbook. ETA: Thompson and Buyers accounted for nearly a third of all yards and receptions
  7. Agree that seeing the field at times was an issue for him, as he had a Y over the middle open occasionally, but his line of sight was hampered. Problem with this, though, is that it's not just his reaction to the receivers. Depending on the reaction of a safety, cb, or lb, the receiver has specific options. Fine has to see this as well, of course, because he has to anticipate what his receiver will do, but both have to be on the same page. For example, sometimes during a Y cross, the Y has the option to sit in between the LBs in coverage, cut in front of a dropping LB, or go behind the sitting LBs. Fine has to wait on that while peeking the other routes and identifying what those defenders are doing as well. But like you said, running the boot makes sense, especially if you run a Flood, and they do have some read option packages that they use out of the same formation as some of their pass plays, to set the defense up for failure.

  9. All I could find at the local shop and rally house: http://shop.meangreensports.com/North_Texas_Mean_Green_Mens_Nike http://www.rallyhouse.com/college/north-texas-mean-green/h/nike/i/t-shirts/l/mens?show=96 Or maybe this one? https://voertmans.textbooktech.com/products/legend-ls-tee-unkn-1582-adchxckzdn
  10. If only we had this information sooner!
  11. I'm not entirely sure who our rival is, it seems like everyone we play is our rival. I'd rather take on MTSU or WKU than UTSA, tbqh, but it shows my age I guess.
  12. You order them when you order your season tickets (I've only ever ordered over the phone, so there's that). My back is sensitive to gravity, so I've brought my own chairbacks with armrests and a cupholder for years. The Apogee-supplied ones are way more comfortable. Going to be switching to that next season.
  13. Thanks! Appreciate the love. Have got another positive trap just west of Hackberry, in the same general vicinity as the others. Birds around that area seem to be spreading it.
  14. If you can't get out of your stance before a guy is blowing past you, there's a problem. QB play *and* O-Line play has got to improve. I still think we are a year or two out.
  15. Not trying to criticize one player, but point out an example and giving more of a football critique: Watch Jordan Murray pass blocking vs Bethune Cookman to get a sense of poor pass blocking. He had a very hard time getting off the blocks and pedaling back while as a tackle. Run blocking, he's a Mack truck. That's why we saw so much movement throughout the season, including injuries to others.
  16. Sign me up, but I don't know what we have right now in our Athletic Department as a whole (not coaches). It's in the middle of a transition, and whatever conclusion I may come to right now may be wrong next month or next year. Wins in the football column don't mean anything if the ADepartment doesn't do their part.
  17. Right I saw that on the twitters earlier and why my question came up. Would be a good addition to this class.
  18. I couldn't tell if that edit was actual breaking news or "what could be".
  19. ...so is he committed here? http://247sports.com/Player/Chritauskie-Dove-45573343
  20. And neither will be in the Big XII. G5 fo' life.
  21. You're literally the only one that mentioned it here for no useful reason.
  22. One positive trap in Frisco, and another just west of Frisco. Get your bug spray on
  23. Which is a good reason to do what others aren't See, this is a logical fallacy. Why do I have to sacrifice anything? You're assuming adding an element to the tailgate experience hurts another element. Or that I have too much to do. You're also overemphasizing the importance and the influence of concessions. Does North Texas get 100% proceeds of concessions? Does North Texas get 100% proceeds of the shirt people selling shirts, or Monster people selling Monster? You know, having Monster at the tailgate really hampers soda sales in the concessions. Having people bring their own beer to tailgates hurts beer sales Having shirt companies really hampers shirt sales in the stadium The presence of the second stadium store really hurts the sales of the first stadium store. etc etc etc
  24. RV got the funds (I think he unveiled at the PSU game?) for renovations for different projects, and this was one of them. Not sure at what point this project started and when WB was hired, but this was the past administration's project. While this sucks that it wasn't "done right" from the onset, there are a host of other infrastructure projects that need work (according to The Report) that I wouldn't mind seeing this take a backseat to.
  25. Pretty sure he said that if it gets one butt in the seat, it's worth it. No one here is claiming that a freaking food truck will bump up attendance and solve all our problems. It's about the experience and atmosphere, not attendance. Pregame/tailgating is part of the game day experience. Why even nitpick at this? Who gives a damn if there are food trucks? Who gives a damn if there aren't?
