I don't think there's anything wrong with a rivalry, or a rivalry with UTSA. It's just that it feels like this fan base is throwing the R word around with every new team we play. It feels forced, and I just want to be wined and dined first. Unis coming in August.

Meh I'm not terribly concerned, unless they line up 6 WRs. Briles' scoring dropped by a ton between year 1 and year 2. They don't have Baylor speed and we are built against this kind of offense. FAU should see a bump in scoring and production, but they're still one of the worst defenses in the country. (Also the long name is my old handle that I couldn't bring over into the new website)

True. Their power spread is propelled by their good running backs. Most of their pass TDs come from tied or behind (65%) while most of their ruTDs come from ahead (68%). They play it pretty conservative until until it stops working and they pass pass pass. Not sure that's a good formula.

Just one season to me. Their FBS wins were vs teams with a combined record of 27-36. They beat a Stockstill-less MTSU and USM was the other >0.500 team. We moved the ball well vs UTSA. We also moved the ball well *to* UTSA. My point is jury is still out on the coaching part. They're a mid-level C-USA team that could easily be caught sleeping. Need to out-coach vs more talented teams.

UTSA's staff is filled with solid P5 recruiters with good resumes. They're just doing their jobs. But can they coach? We'll see.
