  1. A map of the explosions (looks like the second one was about 5 minutes from my dad's house. http://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/interactive-map-austin-package-explosions/1038402216 And a little more info on the 4th. Also has some other links below the video. http://www.kxan.com/video/how-sunday-s-bomb-is-different-from-the-first-three_20180319224603/1059352598
  2. I expect the old battered battle flag to be fried and served at the spring game
  3. A 5th? This is awful. Last I heard, the 4th was just left out in the open. Definitely reminds me of a more targeted Unabomber and a little of the Anthrax guy. Problem is, if you're too specific, you're easier to predict and track (GIS, anyone?). This 4th one fell out of that realm apparently, though.
  4. @Brett Vito Could you clarify the numbers? So is that a total of 27 football games (and then the Championship game) between the two networks, 10 of which will be exclusively on Facebook? And then we also have a deal with BeIN as well still in place, correct?
  5. I am curious how much if this news has reached folks in this area. Since I have friends and family down there, I hear about it (one of my old classmates had someone he knew killed). How much have y'all heard of it? http://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/timeline-austin-package-bomb-attacks/1057954017
  6. Gave Jeff a little love: https://www.rbscout.com/single-post/2018/02/27/RB-Scout-Staff-Symposium-2018-NFL-Scouting-Combine
  7. I think he can crack 4.6. I may cap him at 4.57 just so I can take the under.
  8. LBs is the most glaring need. We send LBs like sidewinders at the QB often. If we can't make the QB uncomfortable, or hit the right gap and stop a runningback, then all-conference DBs and a D-Line don't matter.
  9. Did y'all not read the article? He just wants to realign to something local. What I got is that for ODU, the better schools around them boosts their own position, I guess, and travel is better. I mean, yeah, it's kind of small time thinking, but whatever. Article's just talking about what would be best for ODU, which is to go regional. Nothing scandalous. One thing we can agree on is that CUSA could do better with deals.
  10. New thing called global warming daylight savings. Spring forward. Set your calendar forward a month. We are officially now in spring.
  11. Sweetness
  12. Get em
  13. I'd rather look at the windmills than the athletic complex iwbh /s If it's to expand the south endzone, but we still get a nice jumbotron in the corner (or higher in the endzone, whatever) I am game.
  14. As has been said: Because schools are funded by the state. As has also been said: Research shows tackle football is not good for young kids. I totally understand, why shouldn't we let parents make educated decisions? Obviously they're not making educated decisions, otherwise there wouldn't be tackle football. I mean, it's such a slippery slope argument where we are either statists or not.
  15. Hopefully there aren't any lingering effects from Guyton's concussion coming into the spring.
  16. Wilson created his own holes by manipulating defenders during the handoff, and before he even crossed the line of scrimmage. Feet placement, body fakes, hiding behind his lineman, etc. Dude quietly did so much for us.
  17. I think there will definitely be an increase of RB usage in the pass game. Nic Smith looked much more capable as a receiver than Wilson, and Torrey looks explosive in open space. In 2017, RBs accounted for 17% of receptions at North Texas. In air raids, you can see that number around 25-30%, depending on your talent makeup. So I expect potentially receptions to increase and yardage to double for RBs.
  18. Only a millenial would want facts. Typical.
  19. Jeremy Cox is no slouch (if healthy). I mean I don't see us as the underdog in this one, but as a road game I'm less concerned about UTSA. Fewer than 8 wins is a step back.
  20. UTSA has got a lot of turnover happening. I'd feel more comfortable saying we should win @ UTSA. and I'll give ODU some credit that they'll put up a good fight with their QB in his second year.
  21. Relevant again a decade after having one good year, and in a mid major conference and we talkin smack? It's like watching an X-Men movie, and these two rando mutants come on that you have to wikipedia, but you carry on like, oh yeah I love that they gave them screen time! No one gives a crap about FAU beyond Lane Kiffin's name on ESPN.
  22. It's just old farts that use it as derision. Us young guns have no idea what they're talking about.
  23. Had the opportunity to interview some NFL prospects last week. One of those was Kishawn McClain (link cued up below). On that channel (RB Scout), we've got 3 videos worth of interviews. Others include Malik Jefferson, Richie James, Keke Coutee, Nick Orr, Travin Howard, Kam Kelly, Damion Ratley, Will Richardson, Justin Lawler, etc etc. Apologies for the audio, we had a mic go out last minute, and my awkward questions as I wasn't expecting to talk to McClain. These were pretty vanilla questions, as they prepare for pre-draft interviews. This is the raw video, and we're working on cutting up and putting together a podcast and some of these interviews. https://youtu.be/ClB6akVlbXA?t=19m38s
  24. lol depends on what field/community. In my field, a degree from UTD holds more value than those schools. It's all relative.
