  1. See: Alex McGough Stats: Yeah, well C-USA and all Height: 6'3" WOWZA Weight: 215 lbs GET HIM ON THE PHONE Mike White is actually a good talent, and has a better shot to stick than Sturm and McGough, imo.
  2. We just graduated McCarney's best class. We're are still a couple years away before Littrell high school guys start graduating. I would eye Guyton as the next possible draftable talent if he continues his pre-not-targeting-but-it-was-targeting success.
  3. A better chance at sticking on a roster than a UDFA. But from a forbes article about last year "The 4-year minimum base salaries for players in this year's draft are as follows: $465,000 (Year 1), $540,000 (Year 2), $615,000 (Year 3), $690,000 (Year 4). If eventually signed to a contract, each rookie drafted will get a 4-year deal, whereas undrafted rookies are only eligible for 3-year contracts." https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonbelzer/2017/04/28/2017-nfl-draft-1st-round-rookie-salary-projections/#6fe256c66f04
  4. Big congrats to Davenport. Certainly earned it, and hopefully puts a big ol' spotlight on CUSA.
  5. Some form of air raid teams typically rule the statistical roost, so we should continue to look toward Tech, WVU, and OU to put up stats. If Fine can keep pace with these guys, that's a start. Chad will continue to run the power spread from Clemson and SMU, so it could be a high flying adventure vs Arkansas.
  6. Re: Big 12. Kyler Murray surely will have quite a bit of the limelight along with Will Grier?
  7. He is currently garnering attention among mid major-oriented sites/pubs. Hopefully Fine continues his momentum and piles onto his existing Romo-esque highlight reels.
  8. Me just trying to check the board when some dude shows up and ruins it
  9. Nice. That's some good speed to have on the field.
  10. Maybe buy it some dinner
  11. I think Guyton was the most important offensive weapon. I wouldn't have considered Wilson a power runner, in the traditional sense. He depended on his ability to find holes and bend runs. He had good vision, and was able to extend a play after contact, but he wasn't running people over (unless you were a DB, which he found a lot). I really like what we have in Smith, but I think our new crop of runners are more in the mold of pass-catching playmakers than a traditional inside runner.
  12. I mean I get we can't get rid of the kickoff altogether so teams have an opportunity to run it back or for onside kicks. But dang, maybe just give them the option to not return it or to not KO.
  13. Folks keep saying money makes a difference. Look at SMU. They've poured in tons of money with little to show for it while in the AAC. Heck, Chad Morris is the only beneficiary. Paid tons, won little, moved on.
  14. I think we overlook Liberty because they were FCS in 2017. The title of FBS won't magically make them better than what they are now, which is a marginally ok FCS team.
  15. Yeesh folks. We haven't lost to Liberty yet and we won't. *hair flip*
  16. iirc we had more success with the zone read than with the inverted veer against UTSA
  17. I think this may be a counter trey The inside runs against UTSA toward the end of the game may have been inverted veer or some quick trap play where the backside guard pulls behind the C.
  18. Nah Bradshaw was a totally different runner. Wilson is a run bender. Bradshaw was 50% razzle 50% dazzle and 10% agile af
  19. Millions of dollars in firings later, lack of repairs, lack of funding, I'm not quite over it yet. But we all grieve differently.
  20. When you get into the P5, swing it around. Until then, no one cares about your coaching springboard school.
  21. I'm gon' call this mfer a terrorist
