  1. Heck, almost every position brings up a need or is in question going into 2015. CB, safety, LB, DLine. QB, OLine, WR, TE. But I think we made an effort in addressing each position this cycle. Whether we succeeded in finding the right guys, we'll find out this spring. Hopefully these JUCOs make an impact, and maybe an underclassman or two step up too.
  2. I'd like to take a look at the turnover of starters and depth at these schools, but you're saying 4 out 5 tossups could go our way? If so, I'm thinking Rice, USM, UTEP, La Tech.
  3. Offense is going to have to make some strides in 2015. For me, eyes are going to be on overall WR improvements (I mean obviously QB too), and to see what Jimmerson and Wilson will do. Help a defense out, y'all.
  4. I mean Air Force and Colorado State got AP poll votes at the end of the year, for goodness sake. Boise State came in at 16. Nevada is a solid program. Can't please everyone all of the time. A good recruiting win. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/football/fbs/associated-press
  5. Sure hope so. (oh and I wasn't serious about WR). He has got a motor on him.
  6. The metrics on his hudl page are...next level caliber (if accurate)
  7. This guy has got some speed! Not sure how feasible it is to add 40-50 lbs on his frame, tho. For all you "Let's convert this guy to DE" folks, let's convert this guy to WR.
  8. Taqueria guanajuato on mckinney (near taco lady) is awesome.
  9. On the football board, not recruiting board plzkthx
  10. Maybe he means TV exposure here vs those other schools?
  11. Side note: it's a pain to post on an iPad.
  12. Saw a retweet saying that he was declining other scholarships and will be a preferred walkon at UNT. Size varies by site. More often seeing 6'1" 285lbs. Also seeing bigger and smaller. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1630830/julius-combes
  13. Tweeted at them that they coulda just called Jamize Olawale...
  14. Oh my bad, my brain works in mysterious ways. (just down the frontage road on the way to Teasley). Technically it's Sam Bass Blvd.
  15. A project all around, but I like him better as a receiver. Bailed out his scattershot QB *ahem* quite a bit. Needs to learn to tackle. Mostly saw grabbing, pulling, high tackles, needing help. Not saying he can't play D, just looks more capable/comfortable as a physical TE.
  16. Say wha? I was in El Pariente this past summer.
  17. There's La Azteca on Teasley, there's El Pariente on Bonnie Brae. Much closer, has cultural exposure, and less of a hassle to get to than Rayzor Ranch (from Denia). And man that marinated skirt steak and chicken at Azteca is so delish...
  18. I was confused as well. 4 out of respective top 10s?
  19. I'd like to compare his HS tape to Rutherford, but alas Rutherford's Hudl page is set to private.
  20. Just watched his 2014 highlights. We are about to get bigger and badder with him and Thaddeus! I think we are going to have one of the bigger WR cores in CUSA. We just need more receivers. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/4557554/highlights/218813375 Kelvin Smith's video looks good too.
  21. Midterm signees were last month. Have to wait to sign him in a couple of weeks with everyone else.
  22. Just looked at his tape. Nowhere near 4.7. More like 4.4 game speed. Quick, fast, runs good routes. The only knock is that given his big body, at nearly 200 lbs, he wasn't winning, or given the opportunity to win, contested balls, or catches in traffic. If the defender had a clean angle, xavier was going down. Most of his senior tape shows him in only open space. Although he's no Antonio Brown, this was def a great get by SMU, no doubt.
  23. I'll hang my hat on Ford Stadium vs Apogee win %. Among other things.
