Very good offer list. Kid is decisive, punches through the hole, good balance, quick feet, good vision, catches with his hands. I'm interested to see how we compete with these other schools.

Where's that deflating balloon GIF... Count me in the group that wants to see UNT play competitively against other mid-majors. It's such a buzzkill in the season to watch these money games.

I don't think DT ever had as statistically bad a season as McNulty just did, so McNulty has a long way to climb. I just hope DSmith turns out to be the real deal this summer, and many of my defensive concerns could be masked.

Will be there plus fam. Not sure if by train or if by car. We won't need to throw it on them, just run it and run it and run it and run it

Richard Lagow back in play at North Texas?
Aldo replied to All About UNT's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
just looks like tossing it around. Not sure if it's some kind of way for UNT to reel him in.- 21 replies

I'll root for Texas (grew up in Austin. after learning the Texas Pledge, you learn Texas Fight). Arkansas because of father in law. Hate Tech. Ugh.

More Metzler sandwiches for me and my kid.

Maurice Jones Drew anyone? -
Hey @Harry I've had to create a second account to let you know that I have yet to be able sign in through Google (where my original account is). Just keep getting an Error 400 when I click on the link. Otherwise site looks good!

Procrastinating at work and I found a couple videos of 2014 Butler games on the youtube. I've cued this one play up for you http://youtu.be/nnEujoSSORg Although the ball could've come out a couple ticks sooner, check out that footwork, poise in the endzone (what an o-line!), over-the-top pass, outside shoulder. AND HE THROWS WITH GLOVES ON. C'mon kid, show us what you can do in D1 land. Edit: Not sure what happened to the link but it's at 1:51

This is actually a really cool idea. Or St. Patty's day parade. But you'd have to talk to the music department about that one. Good luck... Follow Mean Green Athletics, Football, Softball, Soccer, etc etc on the Twitter. And Eric Capper and other personalities. They talk about that stuff on there. I don't watch TV in general so I don't know about the media coverage that gets.

This whole conspiracy thing is asinine and needs to stop. McNulty's turnover rate is quantifiably lower than Dajon's. Other than turnovers, any other reason why Dajon isn't the starter is just speculation. Maybe he's in the doghouse, maybe he doesn't want to put on headphones and do his duty as a backup QB. Whatever. No doubt that McNulty has not had a good game. Dajon did not have a statistically good game at Indiana against one of the worst passing D's in 2014, and against UAB. Turnovers. All our QBs have issues. We're not very good at the position. If I was the coach, yeah I would have stuck with Dajon after UAB. But I'm not, and you're not. Only way Smith can win is to show that he's the safest option. Narrative should stay around how Smith can beat McNulty, not this weird clubhouse mirage people are creating. Humbug, I am getting lunch.

I would love to see him start day 1, but he's got to prove it.

I mean 1-3, deserved tier. Put 4 and 5 in another tier. 6-10 could go in their own tier, in any order. I think Houston may be ranked too high, and Rice too low.

Could SMU with Morris become a problem for UNT?
Aldo replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Growing up in Austin, the media coverage around UT was incredible. The 5 o'clock news would even follow and interview the guys on weekends they were moving into their dorms. I'm curious, being in a tv market like Dallas, does something similar happen around SMU football? Obviously there's more media exposure for SMU than UNT, but to what extent? I'd expect something similar happens with UH. -
Talk About Expanding the CFP to 8 Teams
Aldo replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
Could a team in the top 8 also play in a conference championship game and a bowl game? The number of games on these kids is piling on. Potentially another half season? Not sure if there are rules that say otherwise. -
Hey you weren't kidding. It's like exactly the same. Even the tail has the same bend.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/12845360/supporters-pledge-6m-reinstate-uab-football "The bid to revive the University of Alabama-Birmingham football program got another boost Thursday, when the UAB athletics assessment task force announced it had gotten pledges totaling almost $6 million from supporters who want to bring back football." Thought this was awesome. Hopefully they can get this going. Don't let the man keep you down!

Especially since they got him at DB. Great offensive talent. But hey, at least he called them a small school.
