Whoa that's low...time to check the internets beep boop beep boop Let's see, 2014 at GS, 12.9 passes per game. Ew (by the numbers, their QB is meh)2013 at SHSU, 23.8 att/g (outscoring opps 41.1-27.6 on avg)2012 at SHSU, 22.3 (outscoring opps 40-21.5 on avg)2011 at SHSU, 18.3 (outscoring opps 36.9-14.9)Our more "conservative" offense from 2011-2014 (pass attempts/game): 28.9, 31.3, 30.9, 27.6. I don't know much about Fritz, but from what I hear it's a low passing, but I assume high option offense?

I don't need no flooding. For anyone that's interested, here are photos from the May floods we had in Denton County (mobile friendly). Here's also a map that brings in USGS stream gauge data. Just tap/click on the dots.

Here is a table of (most) CUSA coaching salaries as of this publication date of April 21, 2015. Notice that UNT is paying pretty well compared to peers. Coaching Salary Doc Sheet From this website http://www.upressonline.com/2015/04/conference-usa-salary-database/

Isn't that why the banner is flying? It'll make the rounds. Dead flying cats and Drake playing Wii tennis makes the rounds.

Well said @TheTastyGreek, nay, 'nuff said. But now, I need new eyeballs. And if more than 1 person quotes those planes, so help me...

It gets people's attention http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/college-sports/headlines/20150912-anti-steve-patterson-banner-seen-flying-over-austin-before-longhorns-game-vs.-rice.ece http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/anti-al-golden-banner-flies-over-miami-fau-game--photos-001632661.html

RV is tearing this family apart :-( Anyway, while I am not for the banner, I can understand why people are doing it. They feel voiceless after letters of concern to Smatresk are being taunted on here. Individual people on this board are being publicly called out for their letters by folks who were not meant to receive them. How is that ok? How would it not naturally escalate?

So I guess you're welcome Jim and Jimbo for your Super Bowl and NC appearances RV's not all bad, he made championships happen.

Why does my banner ad keep asking me if I want to meet 50-somethings?? Oh wait THAT banner ad...
-
This is why we are the minority.

Thank you for your support to the university and welcome to the board. I do want to point out that many on here resorted to an e-mail and letter writing campaign to President Smatresk to voice concerns less publicly. It was recently revealed that these letter were being sent to Villareal's office (and even made it to big money donors), and it is unknown if Smatresk even received them. This essentially stifled/silenced any of our more civil communication methods. It also showed a brash condescension of those up top. People felt their voices weren't being heard, that there was no longer any trust to be had, and that they didn't have any more alternatives. ESPN analysts, local sports radio producers, sports writers also agree with you about the needed change, so we are not a minority. It sucks, I agree, but after years of lack of results, it's come to a head.

This far! No further!

You mean like literally?

Who Are the Members of the Coach Hiring Committee?

Smatresk's reputation precedes him, and I know what you mean. But I think the reverse will happen: He will not stand by and be associated with RV. It would be a good move on his part, and gain popularity with fans.

Hold on, let my brain present the same data in a different rhetorical manner Best stadjum in the mid majors, never sold out now in it's 5th season, only host to 1 P5 iircDodge - Losing record, basement of college footballJJ - Winning record, amazing coachCanales - losing recordStephens - losing recordMcCarney - losing record, basement of college footballAston - losing record, potential therePeterson - losing record, basement of wbbBenford - losing record, is the verdict still out?Rick Villareal - losing record. You bring another tidbit on how accomplished a coach and great hire JJ was: He accounted for (I assume since 2008) nearly 40% of the wins. So JJ was 84-46 (0.646), the other 7 coaches were 137-248 (0.356). But let me also summarize @Cerebus' findings (who has a better grasp than me on this) Lack of MGC growthLack of season ticket growthAgain, I reiterate, he has been building good infrastructure, and I won't deny that. But he has done the rest of his job poorly, unable to fill that infrastructure. RV can't get a pass on only doing part of his job well. Best AD we've had? I can unabashedly say he has gotten us to a better conference with the best infrastructure we've ever had. Yet in 12 months we've fired 2 of the Big 3, with likely the 3rd firing on deck, and he keeps asking for big donations when we should already have a solid donor base from the hundreds of thousands of North Texas graduates. And UTSA is beating us in fundraising. UGHHHH I will not ignore the positives RV has brought in terms of infrastructure, but I will not ignore the negatives that have led North Texas to being One of the worst FBS teams in the country (several times)One of the worst WBB teams A MBB ranked in the top 250 (so, bad)One of the worst by a mile in terms of fundraising in CUSA (I think 2013 numbers, see old thread on fundraising)

Do recruits even know who Rick Villareal at this point in their process? Heck, I didn't even know who he was until I graduated back in 08.
-
Gotta get him in before the mid-term enrollee signings (which I can't remember the deadline but it's early December iirc)
-
Why focus on what was said? Why not focus on what caused his mind to change?
-
UTSA's pass defense is not as good as WKU's, relatively speaking, so there's a silver lining. Marshall will be a very, very good yardstick for DaMarcus.

I-35 Plan ... your grand kids will enjoy it.

plus utility lines and fiber optics in the lake. Goodness I hope they resurface the eventual northbound bridge. -
Wasn't there a student talking about doing something similar? At the very least stand outside Hurley with signs and get yourself on the NT Daily. Go viral or go home, I always say.

Good news! What an endorsement for Rick. Sorry Rick.
