  1. Yes, for Smith, the question will be can he improve his touch and accuracy in the short range. Can't rely on Wilson every time to give us a 3rd and short. As far as Means goes, I need to see improvements in his accuracy. He's a good runner. If he can improve and start as a redshirt Jr next year, that would 1) give Mason more time to develop, and 2) alleviate pressure to find another transfer for the next two years.
  2. For me it was a toss up between Anthony and Hamilton due to lack of depth. WR is one of the tougher positions to master on offense. I would be pleasantly surprised to see Rico out there a lot this season. I think Smith will see some snaps this season, but as a breather for #26.
  3. I think my hopes and dreams for a fun season will revolve on how (or if) Alec Morris can wrestle the starting job. From Bama film, he shows that he can move the offense in the short to intermediate range. Question is, can he be successful going deep? And can he grow a bigger beard? I haven't given up on DSmith, and he's a different style of player that would be really fun in this system, but he needs to really work his tail off this offseason if he wants to be given a shot.
  4. Cause of old people. Not a complaint, just an observation that a large contingency of fans were much much older. We felt to be the youngest there. Had to take time off work to get there on time. We need to get a larger base of younger butts at these events, in order to get a broader and longer-term monetary base. But not to take away from the event, there were HUNDREDS of people in attendance. Was fun to meet new people. You can tell SL is a family man. We went up in the elevator with him to the event, and he was aw-ing over my 5 week old. And I can say I was at a party with NFLers. Edit: Oh and there were several HS coaches there with some of their players. Couldn't tell if bball or fball.
  5. If you're looking at the cumulative score ranking (which is what puts us there) for 17 recruits, yeah it's bottom tier. But, look at the average and it puts us middle-of-the-pack. If we had a full class, our cumulative ranking would put us at average. Now I wouldn't say that is better than B, but at least it makes us more competitive athletically on paper. In other words, we're bringing in CUSA-level talent. The 2017 recruiting class is the chance we'll have to legitimately overreact one way or the other.
  6. Flipped...the...Byrd? heh *pats self on back*
  7. Littrell inherited 1 player. UTSA and TxSt had over a dozen each at that point
  8. I said B. Should've been able to land 2 HS QBs, and a HS DT.
  9. Watching Akunne and Trice interview http://www.meangreensports.com/collegesportslive/?media=519899 Props on the department for this production, but does anyone have a better vid than the periscope of Littrell?
  10. I think they were just referencing the 24/7 list, which has had him there for a while.
  11. They could also lineup as a H-back as an extra blocker or a pass option too
  12. They would make great inside receivers for sure. I know what some folks would like to see happen to Dillman, tho... While we have/are signing those small-and-quick typical slot receivers, we need big bodies in there too. I was hoping for 6'2" 215lb type of guy, but 6'5" 240lbs works for me.
  13. Welcome and great avi He decommitted from UAB recently, iirc.

  15. So THAT's why Debiase didn't sign here
  16. Oh God if we lose to McNeese St I will littrelly cry
  17. I get that. But if it's true he received an OU PWO, I would guess our hands were tied as our PWO would not compare. After reviewing his film and stats, this isn't just some offer. As nice as it would have been to have a plan A and plan B (other HS QB + Fine), we could not compete during these few short weeks of recruiting for a position that typically gets wrapped up very early. My expectations weren't very high due to the time crunch, (and lack of a class whatsoever to begin with), and so far we're doing ok. His size does not worry me, his film shows he can get it done.
  18. Northern Arizona does our scheduling.
  19. Because he is on scholarship? If he is a future starter, I expect it as a RS sophomore at the earliest, after grabbing another transfer next year + time to recruit another HS QB. Plenty of time to develop.
  20. Beggars can't be choosers. And the way Littrell is working it, he'd be arrested in Dallas for aggressive panhandling.
  21. We're talking about four of these kids that contain most of these offers. Four in just as many weeks of recruiting. With an inherited class of, what, 1 in the end?
  22. Oh you left out the other teams Littrell is beating out: UTSA, ECU, Georgia St, Hawaii, Iowa St, Nevada, Southern Miss, ACU, Air Force, ArkSt, Army, ULL, ULM, Navy, NMSU, Wyoming, FAU, Nebraska, Oregon State, S. Alabama, UAB, Washington State, Memphis, Cal, Purdue, SMU, Utah St, Rice... I'm sure it was by mistake.
