Well I was talking more about the knock that he holds on to the ball too long, in general. But to your point, yes the defense took out those rookie WRs and they didn't let them get open. With Benjamin coming back next year, and another year for Funchess and Corey Brown, they could make a another run with that defense. They just need a good RB that doesn't get hurt all the time. It was interesting how this game had some parallels to the Broncos' Super Bowl implosion vs Seattle.

and stands, and stands... It was a good game defensively. It was an ugly offensive outing, but had to see it coming. Noddle-armed old QB with great offensive weapons. Great QB with rookie offensive weapons. Very enjoyable. That Prius commercial tho...

His playcalling has shifted based on personnel. Could be majority pass, majority rush, or balanced. Depends on what he sees.

I've been doing bourbon and Jell-O shots during tailgating. Then tons of water at the game. Works out ok.

How's the weather in West Point in October? Never been. -
I agree that playing all 3 Texas teams home and then away is stupid. I also agree that the decision to keep opponents the same and using UAB as an excuse was stupid by CUSA. But I won't use the schedule as an excuse for saying "we'll lose because..." You and me want culture change. You think Marshall is going to blame the schedule before playing a snap? I want my team to come in for a road game against a Texas team, or a home game against a top notch CUSA East team and expect to win. As I've mentioned before, we have one of the easiest schedules in the country. We should expect a CUSA-level team to compete against CUSA-level opponents. #NoExcuses

In other words, our W-L record isn't due to our CUSA schedule, it's due to us. We should expect better, and hopefully with this new regime, it changes for the better.
-
Huh? I'm saying, on the national level, our strength of schedule is pretty darn easy. One of the top 25 easiest in the nation. We should be able, as a team, to do better. I expect us to perform better, no matter who we play. *insert fearless undersized looney tunes boxer gif*

I'd rather have a team that'll go up against any schedule
-
-----------------other post break--------------------------- I'm in the boat of, we're playing a CUSA-level schedule, we should expect to be competitive among our peers. Last year we had the 113th easiest schedule in the country, and it is about identical. We can't lay blame on the schedule for our woes forever.

More concerned about the 4.34 shuttle in combo with the 4.54. If the shuttle time were closer to 4, the 4.54 would be acceptable. Or if he weighed closer to 210lbs.

Oh I don't forget about Bradley. But still unclear if he's back. If he is, he's my darkhorse. -

I've got Goree in sharpie. Smiley penciled in. I'd really like to see how Bendy and Khan fare in competition against this class mostly out of curiosity. Rutherford and Thad? Hopeful they step up, but clock's a-tickin. I mean, if Rico blows all those guys away, by all means let him play. But I was holding out hope one of the other guys stepped up.
