4th and 1 up the middle when you offensive line been whipped all game not much better. Made up for it big time though.
-
Sorry 3rd and 2 QB keeper with the QB with a gimpy leg dumbest offensive play call all night.
-
What did I say about busted coverages? Busted coverages account for at least 14 points in this game. Turn one of those drives into a FG this is a totally different game.
-
I would like to give the Defensive coaching staff a benefit of a doubt but there are way too many busted coverages coming off a bye week.

I dream of being able to afford club seats an Apogee. That being said if I ever get up there and they pulled this garbage I would very upset. And that is an understatement. There are great seats all around the stadium to enjoy the game. You buy club seats for service and exclusively of being around committed alumni and fans. As much as I disagreed with how RV ran the program it was neat to shake his hand among other Adminstrators of UNT the one time I got up there. Just the enjoying the game and supporting your school cost about $100 per Saturday for 2 people (parking, tickets, and food) for the regular experience.
-
At maximum that might affect 1,000 potential “fans” from coming to the game. Way more of those fans will sit at home and watch all the games than go to Apogee or the Cotton Bowl. I am a huge FBS and even though I love the Mean Green I still feel the pinch of a small sacrifice when I go to a game and miss watching other great match ups on TV. So any student or alumni that is more committed to being “entertained” than to what a good FBS team means to thier school and community will stay home. The alumni and students that would sellout and actually go to TX\OU are a lost cause in my opinion.

UNT Opens As 4.5 Point Dogs At Home
Mike Jackson replied to MGNation92's topic in Mean Green Football
The early money from professionals I believe is driving this line down. I at 55% against the spread this year in FBS so if I were professional I would jump on a 4.5 in conference home dog that wasn't a dumpster fire program. For causal players Portland State is still in their head and for the even more dense ones they compare our performances against Georgia and Alabama way back 2011 vs UTSA's win over Baylor. The line is made to balance and take advantage of causals. I would be hesitant to take any CUSA team on the road laying more than 4 points. I bet this line settles at 2.5. -
Has someone mentioned that to Nick yet?
-
Exactly, people are so quick to give knee jerk negative reaction. There has never been a watch party for a home game cause there is no need. Too many students have non-watch parties in Denton after leaving Fraternity/Sorority Hill when the game starts. I want to sustain and generate more local alumni interest especially in Tarrant and Dallas Counties. TCU has earned fan to support by climbing up the food chain. But it irks me anytime I hear the bogus claim SMU is Dallas' college football team. We need to make in roads anywhere in DFW we can that isn't within a mile of TCU or SMU. And UNT has a school more financially accessible to Dallas residents in their community right now. That would be a great trick for away games. Smh

Funny you should mention that. There is a great letter from Nick who works in the athletic department in another topic. When I mentioned Alumni Pavilion expansion I started to suggest having watch parties there. I am sure there are NCAA restrictions on broadcasting games in a stadium that isn't having a game that day. Those restrictions might extended to "support facilities" primarily used only on game days like the current Pavilion. Regardless it doesn't hurt to ask. I suggest you post this idea in that thread so someone with inside connections could provide an answer as to whether it is allowed or not.

Mean Green Alumni and fans For away games against UTEP and teams outside of Texas, I would like to get started setting up a long term relationship with a local bar in the Mid Cities area of Dallas Fort Worth for Mean Green Football watch Parties. I am not limited to the 4 cities listed but I would need more help establishing a relationship with cities not listed like Grand Praire. I live slightly to the southwest of DFW Airport right along highway 183. Therefore locations southeast of the Highway 360 and I-30 intersection would be difficult and similarly locations southwest of the interestion of I-30 and I-820 would be difficult. Please only vote if you stongly interested in coming to multiple watch parties every year.

I think if you think UNT students watch Dale Hansen I think you are very disconnected to student life. Especially the undergraduates that are usually more engaged in recreational student activities. A Dale Hansen would be nice but definitely not impactful to students. Just like the NT Daily a nice mention but is the message really reaching the students?
-
Yep, and it is definitely not a good look. I don't usually sit high enough to have a good view of tent city. But I did for the UAB game. I wonder how club seat holders feel seeing that every week?
-
Well maybe not but I know I see a lot of people under those tents with greek letters on them after kickoff. And plenty of roaming about between them.

I think it was strictly his height. If he were 6' 3" he would have gotten several other offers and preferred walk-on offers for high level P5 programs.
