Tee Goree & Willie Robinson No Longer On Roster
UTSA Fan replied to BillySee58's topic in Mean Green Football
I was referring to the fan base of both schools. I remember the B story, and I don't know if T was offered by Coker when he chose UNT. Either way, it's still crazy how neither guy is playing now. -
If you graduate, can you take and pass the bar and then practice law? If so, I wouldn't characterize it as fake.

Tee Goree & Willie Robinson No Longer On Roster

Isn't it ironic how things work out. Bogenshutz and TG graduated together and both UNT and UTSA would have loved the package. Now, neither of them are playing. Crazy. -
Seth Littrell may be candidate for open Houston job
UTSA Fan replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Relax. He's not going anywhere. He has one year head coach experience with a sub .500 record and hadn't even signed a recruiting class yet. Although he is a huge upgrade, that resume isn't knocking down doors. After he's been here a few years to have a body of work to sell, then, but not before.- 81 replies

If you accept a premise in this thread that TV money is drying up, you have only addressed one leg of the stool. The other is recruiting. Conferences bring in team for recruiting exposure in other desirable states, see Texas A&M and SEC or the PACIFIC 50 trying to get UT (read the state of Texas for recruiting). I have not read or given much consideration to consolidation, but it seems it would lock the school into a very limited recruit pool with some, shall we say, very large and powerful fish. It would appear the P5 would then have an even greater advantage than they do now.

This weekend: what do we want to happen, and why?
UTSA Fan replied to MeanGreenDan's topic in Mean Green Football
A win. Since the conference let's the team keep the first 100k and picks up expenses, the win is what is considered now. A win = better recruiting, a stronger conference USA and better bowls in the future. Sorry wrong thread.- 20 replies

Rumor is LA Tech has the HOD as their first choice.

David Bailiff will continue as Rice's head football coach
UTSA Fan replied to Cerebus's topic in Mean Green Football
Well, I guess it's good they are in our division. They will still count as a FBS win. -
Because people don't want to associate with losers. Whether your UNT with a long history or UTSA with a short, you gotta win to put butts in seats. Period. Come on Ben, give him a break. It's a new scheme with players not suited to it. G5 is largely about QB play and you have a true freshman with a suspect o-line that can't protect him and run in the red zone. That is your team. QB and red zone running.

Incorrect. I chose the Eagle.

No, the problem is that things that are persuasive or funny have truth in it. The story behind KFC on this board is not correct. Also, since my being a fan of both schools has summarily been removed as an option and I now must be knuckle dragger/mouth breather like the others to post here, my posts will begin to take a more pointed approach to issues, as the mods have deemed required. As I am a graduate of neither school, it will be interesting to see the discourse unfold in coming days.

It was. Since I have no option but to respond, I will upload a pick that will satisfy haters. May take me awhile though, I will have to figure out how to do. That's if I don't loose interst and keep it.

You said UTSA "fans" are not fun to be around...which is a statement that asserts that characteristic is true of the group. Whatever man, you spin it so it's a closed thing. Just never saw you like that.

It was televised

How much does he run? 170 sounds injury prone. But he is fast.
-
Just a thought...could the reason be when your in the gun the back gets the ball sooner and has more time to read blocks?
-
My thought last night as I watched the game was Fine was playing h.s. football last year at this time. He needs to develop and he should be solid. He has the speed and is elusive on foot, just give him time to develop the passing component. Ben if you can't run the ball, passing is the only option. What would you have wanted to see?

That ship was never in port. That team isn't ever going to be competitive year in and out with any CUSA program. That was before they hired their HC and burned that program to the ground, tilled in salt then took a big dump on it to prove he's the man and a bad a $$ that deserved the promotion. Many high school coaches, its rumored, are shying away from SWT in talking to their players. That school is in such a bad spot in recruiting against UT, Baylor, UH, Rice and UTSA regionally and UTEP, UNT, TCU, etc. state wide. UNT has a better chance of SMU working to get UNT into the AAC than SWT being relevant in CUSA discussion.

What! I know about the vest with RV and QB height with Mac, but what is the hair thing? Met him after the spring game and was shocked. I'm 6'3" 280 and thought that was a big kid.
-
Thanks for the fact check. I saw that before the game. I wonder if they changed the line up for the game.

That's a bs post and you know it. Your treated very well on RT, much better than UTSA fans are here. Your going to lump me in with "an asshole" as being bad to be around? What about the drunk people sitting behind me, my wife and daughter with an endless stream of degrading profanity? Really 43? Thats a bull crap post and you deserve to be called out.

Brett I didn't see the Army game so I will ask you. Was Army a team with inferior athletes that UNT exploited with athletic ability? Last night, being at the game, the defense looked really fast in person. Goree was the one bright spot on offense. Wilson kills me with fumbles or I would add him as well.
