Carlos Henderson , Aaron Jones declare for NFL Draft
UTSA Fan replied to @UNTSportsFan's topic in Mean Green Football
I saw the punter this year, he aimed for the coffin corner and almost hit the pylon. He is by far the best player I saw on the team. -
It was the omission of "jackbag". Kiffin undoubtedly a great big jackbag just like we thought.

I think it speaks to his circumstances at Baylor more than UNT

Interesting the calls for AAC and MWC transfer and yet, here we are possibly positioned in the best conference with the best travel being in a division with several in state opponents. Exciting what may be happening.

Group of 5 officials considering playoff for non-Power 5 teams

No, I would support neither school. I have better things to do with my limited time than watching middle school football. -

Ok, we'll it's not #3 then. So the answer would be #2. I feel better about it, at least there are options and it isn't inevitable. Do you think there is an intentional effort in the AD to lay the groundwork for a MWC move? It's interesting that the AAC and MWC seem to be excluded from this dilemma. -

Lol! I don't feel picked on. I am curious what Jim thinks the solution is, regardless of plausibility. He made a statement and it is based on a set of assumptions/givens he believes to be true. Based on those, what can, if anything, be done? Maybe SMU kills AAC, travel expenses kills MWC and P5 is out of the question and the outcome is inevitability G5JV. Either way, just trying to pick his brain to possibly learn and expand my understanding. -

Okay Jim, for the sake of this exercise, let's accept that your statement is correct. What are the options: 1. Get to p5. 2. Get to AAC or MWC 3. Nothing you can do. I am curious to see what you believe is on the table and how it would play out. -

Help me understand that statement. Why would they care about our budget? Is there a tangible benefit or outcome to this that interests them or is it a subjective "we have more $ than you"? -

Is a baseball program a P5 perquisite? -

They have a say in what the conference approves. D.O.A. -
You might loose games with good players, but you don't win games with bad ones. Bigger, stronger and faster trumps slower, shorter and weaker regardless of the system.

No way in hell is SEC #2-5, B1G #2-5, etc. signing off on that. Ever. Never. -

It's giving up because you quit trying. No one knows what the future holds, but I know for sure if you quit you will miss any and every opportunity that would present itself. -

I agree. This idea institutionalizes G5 as 2nd tier and a permanent scrub. -
How many scholarships are available? If the roster was light to begin with then losing them...

An IPF is $ for recruiting. Great choice.

Couldn't it be matched?

Thanks! I will continue to follow it to get a better understanding. Hopefully in the future it will not ever need to come up.

Being new to seriously following college football I try to learn as much as possible as well as keeping up with the Green. I am totally open to being wrong, but this transfer thing is in my head somehow.

UNT is tied for first place in CUSA at 0 and 0. A new season, a SL recruiting class and a whole off season to prepare for the next year.

Doesn't APR have to do with transfers, not grades? I think I read that on here on the Ivery thread?

Now the game is on. SL has been here a full season and has a bowl to sell. You live and die with recruiting, so here we go...

**WARNING I ROOT FOR BOTH TEAMS** I am admittedly a novice in how college football works. I have not done research on this and would love a comment from Jim, Billy. Until the program can join a P5 conference or is good enough to win bowls that pay out $4m, CUSA is easily the best. Why? The conference shares bowl revenue, travel expenses are as low as could be in the West and you play in talent rich states. My thought is its about money and recruiting, and right now this us the place. What is the MWC revenue sharing?
