  1. We could schedule five more games to get to 31, but at this point I think Hodge will settle for 30.
  2. Let's get rid of Tulsa and Rice. Temple would probably be the third choice, but I think their brand name and location could be bait to woo some non-football members like Dayton and VCU.
  3. We are lucky to have Kyle Youmans, he is the up-and-coming Mark Followill in my biased opinion. A lot better than these other randos that come into Denton for the first time.
  4. There are only a handful of teams in the MVC or better with less than 31 games scheduled: Auburn Baylor Drake Murray State San Diego San Diego State USC After that, you have to start digging into the Sun Belt or worse. And we currently only have 26 games (publicly known/leaked). Seems like we always have two home games to start off the season and Saturday, 11/9 is available at the Pit right now. I would love to see us team up with football, and work with the conference to volunteer for the 11:30 timeslot for our game against Army, then set up a game at The Pit for 6:30 that evening. Army will be a crowd of 25K+ if football continues its momentum, and we could bring a lot of those people across the highway even if it was just for a SWAC school. But of the better the teams mentioned above, look at SDSU. San Diego State, two years removed from the national championship game, only has 7/11 nonconference opponents announced, no road games, and has an opening between Nov. 6 and Nov. 14. If we work together with football and the conference, and land SDSU on 11/9, we could sell the Pit out. Tailgate 8-11 for football and 4-6 for basketball.
  5. I would have liked to see a few throws out of him though.
  6. Conference schedules coming out Thursday. I would hope the nonconference drops with it. This late I'm not confident our last two home games will be against D-I competition.
  7. If you have Twitter, Mosley is pretty responsive. I left my sunglasses at the stadium after the SFA game and he was responding to my messages the same night.
  8. I'm sure the PAC 6 will find two more schools to join their rebuild effort, but if they don't, and July 1, 2026 gets near, I wonder what the chances would be of the AAC throwing those six schools an invite, really solidifying our conference as a Best of the Rest League.
  9. I would love UNLV too but I don't think the AAC's footprint would make sense for them either.
  10. And a massive W for us. And Pernetti.
  11. This year I will take any bowl game we can win. #EndTheStreak
  12. The last reported media deal for the Pac-8 before everyone jumped ship was $23 million per school. I'm not convinced these six teams, the AAC 4, and possibly UNLV and USU get you half of that, especialy when there'd me more schools to spread the payout between. Would be hilarious for it to fall apart with a mediocre TV deal and the conference doesn't even reach the 8-team FBS threshold by July 2026. Then the AAC comes in to save the day sweeping up the PAC 6.
  13. I do think there should be some consideration though on redesignating certain sections, I'm thinking most east side. If the Maniacs continue their impressive work I would extend the lower level student area at least one section in both directions, maybe two in direction of the end zone. Wyoming's fan turnouts was the most full I've seen the visitor allotment in a while. Our visitor allotment should be fine being reduced to two lower level and two upper level sections. Then maybe the upper level on the east side can be converted to reserved seating for all fans.
  14. Kiefer Sibley... 254 represent! China Spring and Connally are usually in each other's district. I wonder if he had any relationship with Cash McCollum before UNT.
  15. With this report that came out last Friday, talks with the AAC 4 might be stalling due to financial concerns. If we are able to retain Memphis, USF, Tulane, and UTSA for now, I'd still go after Air Force and even a James Madison. Perhaps some A-10 schools to add some Eastern non-football members and strengthen our league in basketball.
  16. I just want to make sure those drunk students have some brains undamaged enough to learn some lessons! 😂
  17. Also Colorado and Mizzou down the line. Cal last year. We're getting there! We have nonconference games on the slate all the way up to 2033 and I don't see any more classic paycheck games. All P3/P4 opponents will be scheduled to return to Denton.
  18. Don't forget Game 1 of a four-game series resuming in 2026 in Laramie! Wyoming fans showed up and I'm excited to make the return trip Labor Day Weekend in a couple of years.
  19. If the defense keeps progressing, 7-5 is the floor in this wide-open conference.
  20. UNC's performance yesterday definitely outdoes our game in Lubbock for more embarrassing. Specifically to the American, that Memphis result takes the cake for most hilarious regarding the current circumstances and their fanbase.
  21. South Alabama and Wyoming were two question mark games for me coming into the season, even/especially with new head coaches. Seth Littrell was not very good in those questionable games.
  22. Yes the attendance was inflated yesterday, at least we made some money from Peterbilt. Through two games we should be on pace for our best home attendance at Apogee/DATCU right?
  23. Unfortunately last week may have cost us a few thousand fans last night, but I will take the W... especially that Tech game leads to a defense that doesn't humiliate the university like you said.
  24. I'm actually a fan of this idea. My only concern would be the drunk students standing (and falling) in the steeper upper level.
