  1. There were enough FAU fans in attendance to make you believe so.
  2. The alumni filled in to best the showing from Wednesday night, but the students were missed. Overall I thought the crowd was pretty lively in the second half. Got a couple of "North! Texas!" chants going and the in-game host actually let us do our thing before going into the stupid dice game near the end.
  3. Mou continues to impress the past several games. He has surpassed NIT Mou. Kudos to B-Lo for not forcing anything against his former team. Not sure how much of FAU's coaching staff and roster from last year remain anyway. Need to clean it up at the free throw line. We're going 16-0 at The Pit.
  4. The second place women play the #4, #3, #1, and #5 teams the next two weeks, starting with Temple Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. In honor of the program's 600th win yesterday, you can go to the Temple game for only six bucks: UTSA comes to town on the men's side next Saturday at 5 p.m. The alumni association is doing a tailgate with free food at 3. IF YOU ARE TIRED OF UTSA BEING THE ONLY ONE TO SHOW UP FOR OUR BATTLES ON THE GRIDIRON, THEN FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST COME OUT TO THE PIT SATURDAY TO WATCH OUR HOOPS TEAM GET IT DONE AGAINST NUTSACK!!!
  5. Six bucks to come see the 15-5 (7-1) ladies host another solid squad in Temple. If you're not a fan of the men's sloth pace, the women more than make up for it.

  6. Rob Lanier, former SMU head coach, found out what the Infantry could do last February at Moody Coliseum. So when he moved over to Rice, inside sources suggest he slipped Tim Spaghetti some cash to make sure his home game against UNT would be on a weeknight this season. But I say, "Too bad, Rob! You can't escape us!" If you're in Houston, or are retired and can make the trip, or want to use a couple of half days like I did, join us at the terrible Tudor Fieldhouse on Tuesday, 2/11 at 8 p.m. The game has the later start because it'll be on ESPNU as the "west coast game." There are just under a hundred seats left behind our bench which would be group-rated at $25. For the second straight year I want to sell the section out. What'll make it better is the sea of green will be on national TV. It'll be different without Scott Screamin' Pera on the Rice bench, but we'll still have plenty to taunt Lanier about. Like how his son has to follow him around to maintain a D1 scholarship. And don't forget the UNT Dallas debacle. Here's what we did last year. We bought about 70 tickets, plus whatever the team was allotted, and the local alumni who bought on their own. If you are interested in joining our group for the game, message me. I've got pending communication out with the Houston alumni chapter to see if they will plan to do anything before the game like last year. 7. 12,400 announced at Providence today, who came into the game with a record of 9-10. Providence is about the same distance to Boston as Denton is to Dallas.
  8. Last year was actually the highest average (4,132) in 50 years. Kinda sad.
  9. This is exactly what we want to build. Could you imagine in a few years, during a timeout half of the entire lower bowl is "swag surfin'?" It would be "LIT" as they say.
  10. I'm sure some students didn't use their tickets, but I also see a lot just sitting outside of the designated student sections. One of the frats posted up a few rows behind us in 124 after halftime.
  11. He had a level-headed response when asked last night postgame what the feelings were going up against an old team. He plans to treat it like a normal game and do whatever the team needs him to do to get a W. I recall Buggs having the worst game of his UNT career last season against UTSA.
  12. For sure. Seems like every time I drive through the neighborhoods off campus there is some new multi-unit complex that has taken the place of a single-family home.
  13. Inside sources indicate 1,310 student tickets were claimed. As of Fall 2021, there were 6,349 beds in 15 dorms across campus.
  14. Ssh. @TripleGrad is going to feel compelled to make his dislike for basketball known again. Like anyone cares.
  15. Both teams need to be investigated lol. The line was 9.5 in our favor, we win by 9. The last three fouls seemed to be with the game already decided, and we refused to make free throws at the end.
  16. He looks like Dello got him sick.
  17. Through a few fellow alumni friends I believe we have 7 tickets - a group of 4, 2, and solo - available for tonight. Message me if you could use any of these.
  18. If I did the math correctly, we need to average 5,077 fans per game the last 7 to surpass last year's total attendance, and 5,670 fans per game to surpass last year's average.
  19. As much as I don't care for Greek Life, I agree completely.
  20. We will have 7 home, 5 away at least three times in the next five seasons.
  21. Well the weather currently sucks. And we all know The Pit never turns on the AC. Will we see you tomorrow night? 👀
  22. I believe last year the schedule was announced in late February? So hopefully just another month. Maybe with the same slate of teams for the first time in several years, they'll be able to announce sooner.
  23. Their one game against UTSA on 2/4 will be cinema.
