You're right. It was that three-game road trip that really was the downfall.

I was very impressed with the D. Last year, the D would collapse early in the second quarter while the offense wasn't scoring. Saturday they lasted into the 4th quarter. What I don't understand is how we're going to run a hurry-up offense only to run the ball another 1 or 2 yards and force another difficult 3rd and 8 or 3rd and 9 for an inadequate passing game. Don't teams generally run the ball to take time off? I'm cool with being a run-oriented team, but we aren't even a good running team.

If UNT isn't at least 8-4 going into CUSA, Benford's string has to be cut. Now the question is, what will be higher: Jarvis College's enrollment, or the attendance for the UNT/Jarvis game?

The fact that we totally made Ford Stadium our house makes me more pissed off that we lost in that fashion.

Since it's the first home game and conference game, I see at least 20,000 in attendance. If the game has the same result as SMU, I don't see 20,000+ for the rest of the season.

I think it'd help if students were more aware of the situation. There is such lack of knowledge among UNT students when it comes to athletics. I doubt half of the student body can name the Athletic Director or head basketball coach. I bet if students actually backed the cause, it'd gain more traction. Although our cry for more parking still hasn't been answered.

Last night's game changed my prediction of 6-6 to 2-12. Still trying to decide who the other win is after Portland State.

Agreed. Thankfully I can take the bus to class from my apartment this year. But before they construct anymore dorms they need to construct a residential parking garage or something, by Kerr and Maple.

Thread title made me think this was something about how we have a chance to start 2-0 for the first time since.... since when? Someone enlighten me. I'm only a sophomore.

President Smatresk said this was one of UNT's biggest freshman classes in history. But I agree, we need to get them to support the school they go to, even if this wasn't their first choice. And let's get them to show up to our football and basketball games for Scrappy's sake!

Lighting should be #1, and just hire better people for the general presentation of the game with better use of the scoreboard graphics, games, etc. Make Mean Green basketball games a source of entertainment - and make people actually get excited when offering four free tickets. Then obviously make permanent ticket booth structures and deal with the media space afterwards. Whatever's left can go to the non-public areas behind the scenes. Also, I know the former arena was nicknamed the Snake Pit, but does it have any significance? I feel like honoring an alumni or someone who was big in the program's history would give the place a cooler feeling with some history.
