I won't say the name since the comment was not blasted on social media, but it was the mom of a player who's still here this year... but last season after watching us get swept at UTA, a mom thanked me for supporting. Then after a couple of minutes of discussing the game (plus my general stupidity when it comes to volleyball rules) she questioned the leadership in a civilized way. That's the only other interaction I've had that could back up Jones' mom.

The brand of basketball we play equals not getting a lot of recognition because it's gritty and ugly and opposing fans just think their team played awful. I'm sure you will find the same kind of comments from OSU and Wisconsin fans.

Yeah Gophers got some threes to fall early in the second half the lead stayed at 5 or less. Couldn't put a non-scoring option on the floor.

I will settle for him being the defensive coordinator. That way he has a little extra time to make sure the basketball schedule gets filled.

Our league has a bunch of underrated baksetball teams but suffers from a lack of history, regional rivalries, and conference pride in my opinion. We could and should field as many teams in the NCAA Tournament as the MWC does. A perfect scenario and modest goal within the next 5 years, IMHO, would be maintaining the conference with all of its current members, and getting to the point where we are: Sending 2/3 of us, Memphis, UAB to the tournament every year Sending 1/2 of other storied programs Wichita/Temple to the tournament every year Sending 1/3 of FAU, USF, and Charlotte to the tournament every year

Just got in position to turn on the game for the second half. Hopefully we can put the ball in the basket a few times early. Don't want to go on a drought and let Minnesota think they have a chance to come back.

Wichita and Temple returning to their former glories would really help.

The only bright spot is we have 3/12 games already filled for next year if all the home-and-home agreements stay true, including a game in Denton vs. McNeese. Add at least two more games for an MTE. I don't know how urgent Ross is with the schedule, but hopefully he can start locking agreements down before the offseason.
