After football's collapse this year I am desperate for a run to the Big Dance in basketball. Sports gods can we please not be mediocre in something!?!

I understand the sentiment but I still hope to win next week and make a bowl game. Morris will still be here next year regardless.

I've been preaching this in the group chat all season. Our execution in short yardage situations has been ass. 1-9 on 4th down conversions the past two games. 0-for on 2-point tries this year. On the touchdown run that wasn't against Army, we still had 2nd and goal inside the 1 and couldn't convert. Our last failed 4th down against UTSA we had 2nd and 1.

Add UTSA to the list of schools it's embarrassing got bowl eligible before us considering where we were a month ago.

With this class to we expect to be better or worse next year?

I don't think anyone on the team or in the stands wearing green wanted to play the game last night. Atin Wright already admitted a couple weeks ago that Wayland Baptist was one of those games they didn't really want to play. The attendance was even worse than the Wayland game. Thankfully we are through it and we can focus on D1 competition going forward. I don't know how students will be but hopefully a lot of alumni will come out to give us a homecourt advantage against the Beavs.

Hope it was just an off game, but it looked like we had less turnovers than normal. But we need to be more reliable shooting from outside. I think the final margin was 9-2 in triples, NWST over us. Big opportunity to knock out UH in Houston Sunday.

Really hope Charlotte doesn't get it together by the time we play them next year.

Lady Demons are 2-3, their only wins are against small Christian schools. They lost to TAMU by 21, Tarleton by 17, and LSU by 59.

It was already crazy enough UTSA was playing all the Owls this year. Unbelievable that all four Owl head coaches got fired.

19 straight at home, wow. That's even longer than Boise's streak last year that we should have broken.

Maybe we'll end up as Fenway Bowl foes in the future like y'all and BC did.

Don't know what changed but after a seven-game losing streak, the ladies take down Wichita State and Rice at home in one weekend to clinch a spot in the conference tournament, where they will take on Rice again. Rice was 13-2 in conference coming into the game and Wichita, the tournament host, was also Top 4 in the league.

I went to the game, again we started slow and accelerated in the second quarter outscoring ACU 27-12. We let them back in it and the lead got down to three points twice. But we went on a game-sealing 11-0 run to take a 66-52 lead as Lampkin took over. One of ACU's starting bigs went out late with an apparent back injury. She's from Bixby, Oklahoma, which is where I've gotten my only speeding ticket, so maybe she deserved it. As for the arena, it shares the same name as SMU's (Moody Coliseum) and looks like a carbon copy of TCU's (albeit half the size). Recently renovated and very nice. The ACU men hosted TXST shortly after. Which we could get some better men's/women's doubleheaders and on the weekend to help boost the ladies' attendance.

Will Caponi and the dunk tank make one last appearance at DATCU this weekend?

Any word on if Caponi had to drive back to DFW?

Thank you. Might seem crazy now with only two games left in the regular season, but no way you get rid of him at 5-1 or 5-2, and it shows a pissed off fanbase that maybe Morris does care to build a serious contender. However, if Morris's tenure ends in failure, one of the questions I will continue to ponder is "Why did we feel like we had to give an unproven position coach the largest G5 coordinator salary in the first place?"

Lol C Rod you got me! Sadly with Thanksgiving Break being a full week now, I don't see how there's 10,000 actual butts in seats. It'll be worse than Tulsa.
