I'd prefer the NIT go back to Madison Square Garden. I feel even for an all-mid major matchup, more casual basketball fans would attend. Especially since the walk-up crowd can actually walk up.

I'm going to bet on Loyola Chicago winning the other game so the NIT can get at least one somewhat nearby school to boost attendance at Tinkle Fieldhouse.

Let's go ladies. Win and we could potentially get Washington State at The Pit (if we are the highest bidder for the game). Just realized we're the last school in the conference with any teams playing in postseason basketball.

Yeah according to the Vito article from a few hours ago, the dancers should be left out of it. Their event doesn't start till Friday, and who cares if we can't host a WNIT game against Troy. This is solely the luncheon and none of the overpaid geniuses in the administration could figure out how to move it somewhere else on campus. It should have been scheduled at the Indoor Practice Facility to begin with. Huge failure on so many parts.

SMU, TCU, UTA, TWU... there's an abundance of venues in the area that could have worked and been ready with a few days notice. Two years ago OSU actually had to play their first round game against Youngstown State on the road because of wrestling championships. But last year Prudential Center was booked but Seton Hall hosted us in their 1,300-seat on-campus gym. We could have found a way.

Actually, the more I've thought about this the more I think this would be a cool idea. Move the court over to the IPF and surround it with those temporary bleachers they use in golf. You could probably build a makeshift 3,000-seat arena. -
