Okay that's the same two I mentioned. Now they aren't interested and aren't coming so lick your wounds and move on, and support whoever it is as long as it isn'the chambers.. please lord let it be one of the other 3
-
yes i have asked you for candidates that fit that bill.. and all you could say was fritz.. Guess briles was an underwhelming hire at houston. Patterson an underwhelming hire at tcu. Fuentes was an underwhelming hire at memphis and numerous other examples. A high school kids will be more excited about playing for the former OC of TCU than a guy who had success at Angelo State back in the early 2000's...

well arent interested and aren't coming so lick your wounds and move on. Any of the three I would take over Mac and dodge. Now chambers on the other hand is definitely the most underwhelming name to date

jesus christ if it isn't fritz or Thomsen it's a bad hire. That is just ignorant. Meacham, applewhite, or littrell with be better than anything we have had in twenty years. They will help with recruiting and offensive strategy immediately. . And with right defensive hiring they will be fine. Quit being so damn negative.
-
Littrell or Meacham are the most realistic choices. And I think both will be better than anything we have had in years
-
could you give us a hint on the other player?
-
I'm sure Patterson has some defensive coordinator proteges we could try to snag while we are at it..

If Doug Meachum is the hire to be the next coach I think he is the perfect age to become a head coach, not to young and def not to old yet. And i think he would def be able to improve the offense if he was the hire. I got this part off of TCU's website which was pretty inspiring "Doug Meacham joined the TCU football staff as offensive coordinator in December 2013. In his first season at TCU, Meacham helped the Horned Frogs become the nation's most improved offense in total yards (+188.2 ypg) and scoring (+21.4 ppg). TCU's 21.4 points per game improvement broke the Big 12 record of 19.1 set by Oklahoma in 1999 (35.8; 16.7, 1998) and was the largest improvement by any team since Northwestern went up 24.0 points between 1999-00. The 2014 Horned Frogs ranked second in the nation in scoring (46.5 ppg) and tied for fifth in total offense (533.0 ypg). TCU set 26 school records for offense in winning its first Big 12 championship as well as the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Meacham was a 2014 finalist for the Broyles Award, recognizing the nation's top assistant coach." It would be nice if UNT could have similar improvement in the next few years. I know it wouldn't be over night. But the guy is obviously experienced. Maybe he could also bring some assistants from TCU along with him like Running backs coach Curtis Luper (also played college ball with Meachum) to be an OC here, maybe as a possibility.

Could we have a Meacham HC jinks oc combo. And doug brings a position coach from tcu to be DC Out of all the possible candidates Meacham makes the most sense. And being a Broyles finalist last year as well is a plus -

dodge biggest down fall wasn't texas ties. It was not having college assistants. And he didn't have 3 years experience seeing how a big 12 program was ran yes since lsu is lighting up score boards with all those 5 star recruits and nunber one running back in the nation. No thanks
-
Jinks texas ties are priceless when it comes to recruiting. Would take him hands down
-
thank you for sharing Mr Rush I am hoping he gets the opportunity as well to lead UNT
-
thank you for sharing this with us Mr rush. This makes me really hopeful he gets the job. I think he could do great things at UNT.
-
He was also a offensive coordinator in tyler as well. So he probably has ETX connections

Which recruiting class is Mac's best?

This last one if loaded with talent several are starting and contributing this season as true freshman. I think the three best pickups are all red shirted with howard, Harrison and Dillman
