Yeah it confuses me as well. But it may just be me being optimistic. But I feel like they could potential have a couple more like Cody Hayes. Under the radar prospects we haven't mentioned. Then I get the feeling they want to keep several openings for guys that fall thru the cracks like Mcnair last year. Then also I think they wanna keep a couple schollys incase they find another grad transfer or two. The Marchie Murdock kid from Illinois would be interesting.

I think teams get too caught up in measurables, stars, and rankings. There was a 2016 athlete just today scout raised to a 3 star and get picked up 4 offers the same day. You hear he is not big enough, he is not fast enough. Then they go to a juco, and two years later P5 teams are fighting over them. I believe to be a successful at a school like UNT you have to hit on kids like that. Just for instance the guard we had committed last year that ended up going juco and signed with K state at mid semester this year. I believ eif you dominate like scott did in 5a texas high school football you should be able to play at the sun belt and c usa levels some where. And it may be grades with him I don't know. But there werected 17 fcs players drafted last year. So I know not ever kid that just has fcs offers is not going to be able to contribute.

I know it's strange and confusing. Maybe they have 17 guys up their sleeves.because their is several guys they are talking to and still haven't offered. Idk if they are just planning on keeping a couple and going heavy next class when they have more time to build relationship. I get the feeling this staff would rather get the guy they want or wait on the right guy later than just throw out schollys

I watch his film again my self. I would definitely be okay if we got him. Kid has a great arm and super mobile, and most of all pocket awareness which is very underrated. Be nice to see what he could do in Littrell and co offense after redshirting a year. What is the size of a 3a school in Oklahoma. Because I know Canadian is 1a in Texas so around a 100 to 200 kids. Wonder how the quality of competition compare.

Debiase seems like a big family oriented guy. Hard for me to believe that he is coming all the way to texas to school. I may be completely wrong though. Littrell has said from day one he will get a high school QB in every class. So I believe Graham and him have some one picked out and up their sleeves. It may be a guy we have mentioned and it may be an off the radar guy. But I definitely believe there will be a hs quarterback in this class.
