I spoke to him after the game and he was very disappointed, he felt that they were not that good (disagree with him on that, 2nd ranked defense in the country), he felt that should have kept throwing him the ball, even after the double coverage was put on him. Thanks, Its been a long rode, a lot of hard work, and some heartbreak, but I am glad he is in Denton with UNT. I agree, DB's are having trouble getting physical with him. He tells me all the time, that he loves when DB's try that because he is stronger than they are so he dispatches them and gets into his routes. If he can make a few more big plays, it will open up the offense for others.

Hey Dude, I am with you on both games. Thaddeous Thompson's Father here. Thaddeous Grandmother and two Aunts live i El Paso, so we will be at that game. Let me know how I can fit in to what youy are doing. Also, we live in Cibolo Texas, which is a suburb of San Antonio, we will be at that game suffice it to say, I was thinking about having a BBQ that day either at my house or at the Alamo dome. Thoughts???

The Bahamas Bowl would be a gift from God Thaddeous Thompson's Father here, and we are of Bahamian decent, a lot of family there, and that would be awesome to play there. Thaddeous is named after his Bahamian Grandfather!!!

I can see your concern regarding Goree. In my opinion his routes must be stronger. Actually if you look at the game film, Thompson is getting the double coverage on the inside.

I am going to the West Point game. Would be great to meet up with the UNT crowd.

I here a few good ideas regarding who the next Head Coach should be. Youngish; Texas Native; proven winner. North Texas should purse former Steele High School Coach Mike Jinks. Jinks took a brand new High school out in Cibolo, outside San Antonio, and made them Texas 6A State Champs in 4 years. He has 35 players playing college ball right now. He is an offensive mind, with the understanding of building great defenses. At one point, he had two of the top three Safeties in the country playing for him. He has former players right now starting for Oklahoma state; Baylor; Texas Tech, and a few other D-1 schools. He is currently the Asst Head Coach @ Texas Tech, he was brought there in my opinion to dominate the San Antonio recruiting region, and get that hotbed of talent to Texas Tech. In the Cibolo area alone you have schools with major talent Steele; Clemens; Wagner & Converse Judson. To date Jinks has two 4 Star recruits from Steele signed ALREADY, and almost had a Steele 5-Star recruit Mark Jackson, (Who turned down Alabama). My point is he is a winner and can recruit the hottest bed of talent in the state right now (San Antonio). Recruiting is how North Texas gets a winning program. Jinks is WELL respected in San Antonio, 4 & 5 Star recruits will follow him to North Texas. He should keep Canales as the OC, an NT will become a good program, I see NO other way to compete from a recruiting perspective with TCU; Baylor; & UT unless you get a guy like Jinks. Have to get him now or it will be too late. Not too many HS coaches go straight from HS to a D-1 school, and after one year they are the Asst HC

JUCO receiver Thompson played well. Caught all three passes thrown his way in the first half, including two first downs. Targeted twice in the second half, No chance at catching those passes, they were in the stratosphere. Once the tunnel vision comes off of Harris, then other receivers will produce You may have a point, if you are talking about players coming from small programs. Thompson comes fro 6A Cibolo Steele, who play at the State Championship level virtually every year. Also he torched Nationally ranked secondaries @ Scottsdale, and won the Bowl Game MVP. He is ready now, they need to target him more.

Pretty cool of you to be transparent and not as judgemental as others. Thaddeous could end up rewarding guys like you with big plays. He is going to be a handful, even for the Tennessee & UT Corners
