Texas Rising
2012gradUNT replied to KRAM1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Lets not forget how the first thing Santa Anna does in the series is kill african americans....or slaves. Which didnt happen he let them go. Or Sam Houston saying Texas was a "free" country when it was clearly not a free country. The Karankawas were more canoe people and on the coast, if even around by this point in time. Thats just one episode. So much sh!t in one setting is hard to swallow, I have not nor will I finish the series. -

Its amazing that a channel who is supposed to based off of historical information is so bad at history. -

The Corsicana area is bursting at the seams. Richland Chambers had to release for the first time in 3 years and Halbert is very close to coming over the bridge. Boy when you need the rain mother nature doesnt play. -

Now if we can just send some of this stuff up to Wichita County (my hometown) that would be grand. People drinking their own poop up there. -
Do you mow your own grass?

Yes I do. I'm a coach so during football season I usually find someone to do it for me but all other times its me. I enjoy it even with the allergies that come along with it. -
I think they should be honored that a standing governor is willing to come speak at UNT. But hey, hippies and hipsters are gonna hate. As long as its not the Lt. Governor Dan Patrick its fine. There isnt a grave deep enough to stop my hatred for that man.

Freds is legit If your ever in Corsicana try Carpenters or Aguados burgers. Aguados was/is probably the best burger I've had since Denton
-
If you say anything other than RG's in Denton then you crazy! Although I do enjoy some time machine. I seem to remember a good place off the square too but cant remember the name.

That may be true but hind-site is 20/20 and undefeated. Who knows what would have happened had he done that? He may have been caught leaving and died there, He may have made it to Houston and the Army and won or gotten there and given Houston false hope and Texas could have been lost. Our History is such because of what happened not because of what should have been done.

Dude GTFO of Texas and go to Oklahoma.

I'm gonna think outside the box here and say give the loser the trophy for this one. The person who loses gets the Charmin trophy. Because if you lose this game then you belong in the bottom of the sewer.

Football seasons over.....gotta do something to pass the time!

Saddest day of all of my years at UNT when I couldnt hop off campus for the greatest burrito ever.
-
The one thing I loved about Denton was the food choices. I almost cried when Hooya's when out of business, put chipotle and that other place to shame (place on 380). As far as raising canes goes....its ok but I wouldnt just go there with all of the other stuff around it.

North Texas Football '15 commitment list up to 23
2012gradUNT replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
You know, the Kevin Dillman guy. The one from Europe. Would they keep him at tight end as they have said or would they attempt to put him at QB as he had played before coming to Texas? If he is as good as advertised from cali I just wonder if they would give him a shot. -

Oklahomans will get UNT in-state tuition
2012gradUNT replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I've never understood out of state tuition. To me its a money grab from the college. In a world where college is becoming more expensive the last thing I would do is pay more to go to an out of state college. All states should allow students to come in for instate tuition. -
For our current situation to change, the attitude must change in every area of the college. I am glad that they care so much for academics but that shouldn't stop you from being a good/great football program at all. You go around town and no one really even cares that a game is being played. Its rare to even find it on a tv set (if it is being played on one). Our football stadium is amazing but we dont capitalize on that fact. If you look around the country you see people that have far less than we do and they do far more with it. I am baffled every time I come back home to go to a game that we cannot win consistently here. Lets look at some of the teams that win: Boise, its in Idaho....IDAHO and they win, Utah St.....UTAH and they have won in the past years, NDSU....smaller school but still its in North Dakota....Arizona St.....I dont even think I need to say it. You cannot tell me these places have things that make them better than Denton, Texas.
