  1. From my seat, a mere 130ish yards away in the "wing", I was pretty certain it was a touchback.😁
  2. Tough crowd. Six downvotes and he stated twice that he liked the look.😀
  3. I don't see SL leaving until Mason Fine is gone (barring a ridiculous offer from a top P5 school).
  4. Looks like this is now official.
  5. Story on DMN shows Bob Diaco as his replacement.
  6. Texas should be about 12-13 and OU should be one spot below them. At this point in the season rankings are just for fun...or aggravation, however you choose to look at it.
  7. This game proves there are no gimmes on the schedule.
  8. Yeah, I found it kind of odd. There were times (several times) when Smith had all day to throw and couldn't find anyone open, which I assume means our DB's had great coverage. Then there were the times you mentioned in your original post.
  9. Took me about 35 minutes to get out of the orange lot, but once I was out of the lot, I was heading north on 35 in no time. What was worse to me was the pile-up of people trying to walk across the bridge. You were literally taking about one step every five seconds until you actually got on the bridge. That being said, it's a good problem to have. I'd rather have 30K at the game and take 30-45 minutes to get out than 20K (or less) and get out in 15-20 minutes
  10. I agree. I thought LaTech did a great job of exploiting the injury.
  11. So are you saying that Auburn was better than Alabama last year?
  12. Keep in mind that LaTech had a good following. We probably wouldn't have hit 30K if they hadn't brought such a large crowd.
  13. It's not arrogance by Mason, it's competitiveness. If he wanted to come out of the game, he's probably not the guy you want leading your team.
  14. Greatness
  15. Me too. A pulled hammy can linger, but it's still probably best case scenario. I don't really expect to see him against UTEP.
  16. I feel confident that the training staff evaluated the injury and felt certain that he wasn't going to worsen the injury by continuing to play. Generally speaking, trainers are pretty protective of players nowadays. I feel like he pulled a hamstring based on how he was responding when the injury occurred, but obviously I could be wrong. Also, Mason should get no blame whatsoever. We should hope that every player on the team has his mentality. It's the job of the trainers and coaches to pull a player. My son is a freshman in high school and he just missed 2 games due to injury, but only because the trainer (and his parents) wouldn't release him to play. He would have gone back in the game the night he was injured if he'd been allowed to do so.
  17. True, we're no longer in the drivers seat, but the rest of this post is full of shock value. 11-1 isn't a special season? 10-2 isn't special? Heck, with our recent history back to back 9 win seasons is pretty special. And honestly, we're going to be sitting here 10 years from now saying, "Man, we still haven't recovered from that loss to LaTech back in 2018."?
  18. Was it him trying to start the chant or was it the Bud Light??🤩🤩
  19. All of the above (except 1 and 8 ) edit: I'm also going to say that #4 wasn't a factor.
  20. And a slim chance at actually being ranked. I believe #'s: 20, 22, 23, 24 and 25 all lost yesterday. That most likely equates to five new teams being ranked. We probably still wouldn't have gotten ranked, but...we'll never know.
  21. I guess he was so open that they decided to try it again from midfield (at least it looked like the same play to me). That's the play Mason came up lame. I'm assuming a pulled hamstring, but my diagnosis from 50 yards away may be considered unreliable.
  22. No turnovers AND only 1 penalty for LaTech. Obviously we only had 4, but they were all huge. I believe 3 of them kept drives alive for LaTech and the other one put us way behind the chains after what appeared to be a nice gain. Also, I'd say Mason showed a little bit of mental toughness by limping out onto the field giving everything he had for his team.
  23. If this is the case then I'm sure it was reviewed. I actually thought ALL scoring plays were reviewed.
  24. This! I believe I'm correct in saying LaTech had only one penalty and zero turnovers. They played a flawless game and yet we still had a chance to win. I hate the outcome, but if a person wouldn't want to come to another game like tonights then they just don't like football. That was a great game in a great atmosphere.
