Seems like I feel the same as several others: I want to beat SMU the most, but I feel like beating Mizzou would be the better win, especially from a national perspective. I’m also of the opinion that no win in CUSA should be considered an upset for us. We should expect to have a chance every game and we should be competitive every game.

Ideally this is true, but getting factual information is not easy, you have to seek it out. Most information that the general public hears is politically driven, so it’s not necessarily true. Additionally, people can most likely find information on the web that fits their perspective. Finally, there is still so much with this virus that is unknown after a year and a half that even honest people who have the public’s best interest at heart could be unknowingly giving bad information. Or maybe I’m just a cynic.

The most shocking part of this is that it’s BYU. NIL will ruin college sports as we know them.

I know I’m burying the lead here, but Indiana at #17???

Geez, who’d you have as your dark horse last year, Jaelon Darden???

Who’s your pick to step out of the shadows and completely surprise people this year? I’m going with Finn Corwin. I saw him play a couple of times in high school and he seemed to be a gritty kid who just seemed to get open and make clutch catches. Only problem is that he’s at a position that’s pretty loaded so it’s possible that my dark horse doesn’t get much PT, but I guess that could be the case for everyone since we’re picking a dark horse.

How much slack should Austin Aune have this season?
NT93 replied to Coach Andy Mac's topic in Mean Green Football
I think part of the “hate” is the simple fact that he’s not Mason Fine. Replacing arguably the greatest QB in school history isn’t easy.- 44 replies

Will Litrell win enough games in 2021 to keep his job?
NT93 replied to Tom McKrackin's topic in Mean Green Football
Seems like there have been a few threads like this and I’m still of the opinion that wins and losses will be secondary to progress. If this year is a train wreck, SL has to go, but I can see a scenario where the record may not be what we would like, but we’re seeing good things from this young roster. In that case, I think he stays. -
I’m not being a UT defender, but the reality is that they were 7-3 with a 2 point loss, a 3 point loss, and an overtime loss. I would hardly call that a crappy product. Most schools would love that kind of season. That being said, that type of season is probably not a very good return on their investment.

I’ve been of this opinion for years. Good, bad, or indifferent, stick with the SOW so that when people see it, they know it’s UNT. I’m not opposed to the “wings” look that is commonplace now, but I prefer the SOW because that’s what should identify us.

I might buy one if the decimal was moved over a couple of places to the left.

Here is where the Big 12 leftovers will end up

The SEC may have “invited” them over a year ago. Or maybe they’d both been told long ago, “If you ever want to leave the Big 12, let us know.” Whatever the case, this was a very well kept secret. When the news broke we all thought it was just a crazy rumor, but it was already a done deal by the time it was leaked.

I wish I could give you about a thousand downvotes, but unfortunately I tend to agree with you.

A few years ago we were probably “the worst nine win team in college football.” I honestly believe this years team could be equally talented, but finish with 5 or so wins.

This is bad for such a high profile, well established magazine. Here are a couple of pretty bad errors just related to CUSA and UNT. I should add that this is not intended to slam DCTF. There is no bigger fan of the magazine than me. I’ve got copies dating back to the early 80’s, maybe even late 70’s. I just find errors such as this to be very unexpected.

🏈🤠🏈The Bible of Texas Football Is On Many Newstands Today!
NT93 replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Page 40 gives some of that info. Texas had the most recruits, but was 7th per capita. Check out the stat on page 42. Texas had the most recruits at every offensive position. -

574 high school teams in 1960. Over 1400 today…wow.
