  1. My parents lied to me when they said there was no such thing as a sure thing.
  2. My desktop wallpaper is the Battle Flag. When I looked at it today and imagined the SOW plastered in the center I decided it would look really bad. So, @UNTLifer, you were right…ewww.😁😁
  3. We don’t have one.
  4. Haha. I might agree if I ever saw one. I can promise you I’m not going to muck up my battle flag making the prototype. Someone with some Photoshop skills should be able to give us a visual pretty easily though.
  5. I was thinking the battle flag with the SOW in the middle of the flag.
  6. Any answer other that “The Fake Fair Catch” shows what a true fan you are of the Mean Green.
  7. Never thought of it until now, but how about the battle flag with the SOW on it? If I actually saw one I might not like it, but…maybe??? FWIW I’m a fan of both the battle flag and the SOW. I like the flying worm as a retro logo, but everything else I could do without. Oh, and I do like the font of the “North Texas” that lwe use.
  8. My son and I commented on how few UNT fans were there. We didn’t make the game there in 2019, but we were there in 2017 and our recollection* was that it was about a 60-40 fan split…maybe 70-30. This year seemed about like a 90-10 split. *we could be way off, but that’s what we both remembered.
  9. I guess the definition of “massively improved “ is up for debate, but SMU had 7 points at halftime. The past two seasons they’ve had 21 and 34. That seems like massive improvement to me. Bottom line is that the defense gave us a chance to win last night. They have done the exact opposite the past two seasons.
  10. Lines to get in are looong. I’ve been in line about 20 minutes and I bet it’ll be another 15-20 before I get in.
  11. I have to work until noon-ish and my son may have to work until around 4:00. I’d love to get there in time for a little tailgating, but I’m honestly just hoping to make it there before kickoff.
  12. Smaller would be better. I like it on the helmet because of brand recognition and I don’t want to go through yet another change. SOW=UNT Off topic, the logo in your avatar is the same as the one on the first UNT cap I ever bought. I got lots of wear out of that cap.
  13. I agree that the sizing/location is off, but I like the SOW on the helmet.
  14. Section 122 Row 1
  15. We should try to become more enlightened, but we can’t hold those who lived over 100 years ago to the same level of enlightenment. Those who don’t know, don’t know that they don’t know.
  16. Damn dude! Go to ponyfans and give them some of that piss and vinegar. We may not agree on everything, but we all bleed green.
  17. So….year before last???
  18. Exciting 4th quarter. Nice win for Charlotte.
  19. I had the same issue. I ordered a cap that was clearly black in the website photo, but I received a hunter green cap. I still have it because it was a clearance item that only cost about $10, so I wasn’t going to pay $7 to send it back.
  20. My impression was always that liberals were “following the science” with the “vaccines cause autism”argument. From my experience in the teaching field, it seemed to me that the parents who were choosing not to have their children vaccinated we’re almost always liberal. In honesty, that was my opinion as I didn’t know their true political leanings. Also, it was a small sample size.
  21. Honest question because I don't know the answer. The following is an assumption that I have always made. Isn't it true that anti-vaxxers, pre-COVID, have typically been mostly liberal types and conservatives have cried foul because these people were sending their kids to school unvaccinated? Now, in the COVID era, there has been a complete reversal. Again, maybe I'm wrong on this. Maybe it's been mostly conservatives who have been anti-vaxxers all along. So, have I been mistaken about this all along? I hope for honest dialogue because I'm very open minded on the subject.
  22. Not sure his success or failure at KU equates to anyone here being right or wrong. Players often transfer and find success at their new school. I agree that’s it’s pretty bad to wish him failure.
  23. Every Texas school to the best of my knowledge. I’ve been to TCU, Baylor, UT, and SMU (vs. UNT). Once it became an online system it became more difficult to get tickets to the Big 12 schools. I think they were pretty much only for head coaches. I’ve been out coaching for over 5 years, so some things may have changed since my last experience. A couple of notable stories: I watched UT/Nebraska from about 10 rows behind the Nebraska bench on the 50 yard line when Nebraska was ranked top 5. A few years later I watched UT/UNT from the next to last row from the top of the upper deck. Most stadiums had a “coaches section”, but at UT you never knew where you’d be. Seats at Apogee are pretty decent. I want say it was always in section 203, often with recruits.
