  1. It makes sense to me that he would have to enter the portal if he hoped to play at another school. You can’t transfer to another school and play if you haven’t entered the portal can you?
  2. Seems like common sense that our military would be the last one’s out of the country.
  3. It’s pretty simple, the vaccine was approved for public use much, much faster than most vaccines (or any other medications). We simply don’t know the long term effects of this vaccine. It didn’t go through the typical clinical trials, etc. And before you explain how COVID is different, I am aware of that fact. My wife worked in clinical trails for several pharmaceutical companies over the past 20 years, so she is probably a bit more informed than the average person. That being said, I’ve had the vaccination, but I’m concerned about possible long term effects and I completely understand why someone would choose not to get the vaccine.
  4. Didn’t I read on a.thread here recently that Sam Howell beat out Jace Ruder at NC?😁😁
  5. I figure if Aune beats out Ruder it just means either 1) he’s improved a lot since last year or 2) Ruder isn’t as good as I expected.
  6. Seems like I feel the same as several others: I want to beat SMU the most, but I feel like beating Mizzou would be the better win, especially from a national perspective. I’m also of the opinion that no win in CUSA should be considered an upset for us. We should expect to have a chance every game and we should be competitive every game.
  7. Ideally this is true, but getting factual information is not easy, you have to seek it out. Most information that the general public hears is politically driven, so it’s not necessarily true. Additionally, people can most likely find information on the web that fits their perspective. Finally, there is still so much with this virus that is unknown after a year and a half that even honest people who have the public’s best interest at heart could be unknowingly giving bad information. Or maybe I’m just a cynic.
  8. The most shocking part of this is that it’s BYU. NIL will ruin college sports as we know them.
  9. I know I’m burying the lead here, but Indiana at #17???
  10. Geez, who’d you have as your dark horse last year, Jaelon Darden???
  11. Who’s your pick to step out of the shadows and completely surprise people this year? I’m going with Finn Corwin. I saw him play a couple of times in high school and he seemed to be a gritty kid who just seemed to get open and make clutch catches. Only problem is that he’s at a position that’s pretty loaded so it’s possible that my dark horse doesn’t get much PT, but I guess that could be the case for everyone since we’re picking a dark horse.
  12. I think part of the “hate” is the simple fact that he’s not Mason Fine. Replacing arguably the greatest QB in school history isn’t easy.
  13. Seems like there have been a few threads like this and I’m still of the opinion that wins and losses will be secondary to progress. If this year is a train wreck, SL has to go, but I can see a scenario where the record may not be what we would like, but we’re seeing good things from this young roster. In that case, I think he stays.
  14. I’m not being a UT defender, but the reality is that they were 7-3 with a 2 point loss, a 3 point loss, and an overtime loss. I would hardly call that a crappy product. Most schools would love that kind of season. That being said, that type of season is probably not a very good return on their investment.
  15. I’m not necessarily opposed to scheduling Texas St., but it sure doesn’t excite me.
  16. I’ve been of this opinion for years. Good, bad, or indifferent, stick with the SOW so that when people see it, they know it’s UNT. I’m not opposed to the “wings” look that is commonplace now, but I prefer the SOW because that’s what should identify us.
  17. I might buy one if the decimal was moved over a couple of places to the left.
  18. Greatness
  19. You left out a great candidate😁
  20. The SEC may have “invited” them over a year ago. Or maybe they’d both been told long ago, “If you ever want to leave the Big 12, let us know.” Whatever the case, this was a very well kept secret. When the news broke we all thought it was just a crazy rumor, but it was already a done deal by the time it was leaked.
  21. I wish I could give you about a thousand downvotes, but unfortunately I tend to agree with you.
  22. Check out the photos🤣🤣
  23. A few years ago we were probably “the worst nine win team in college football.” I honestly believe this years team could be equally talented, but finish with 5 or so wins.
