  1. That sounds more accurate. I’m not much if a gambling man, but I was going to get some of that NT-9 action.
  2. I told my wife when it was 38-10, “I hope SMU is really good.” Maybe they are. While it was ugly, we had our chances to keep it close. Inside the 5 twice and get points, plus a blocked field goal. After Gunnell’s first pass, my comment was, “I see why Aune is starting.” Adaway is very good.
  3. I’ve got the UNT version of the cornhole board. Mine is much cooler.
  4. I don’t necessarily fault her, but I’m not cheering for her either. That being said, hers is a very unique situation. Has there ever been a team in any sport that was more of a favorite to win it all? Even a football player going to Bama has way less odds of being a national champion. I’m not sure about Hope, but grad transfers are exempt from scrutiny in my opinion. They graduated, so they can do what they want and I’ll be disappointed, but happy for them. But let me be very honest: I have a double standard. I’ll be cheering for Tom Trieb, Mazin Richards, etc. so…
  5. For me, there’s a big difference in “transferring down” because your not getting a chance to play and “transferring up” because UNT is no longer good enough for you.
  6. I’d say it’s getting uglier. It was already bad.
  7. Sorry to hear this. I knew Brett back in the late 80’s/early 90’s, but haven’t seen or talked to him since then. RIP
  8. 🤣🤣 🤣 Should I rethink the wording there??
  9. For me, it’s a nice win that should provide a lot of positive momentum going into the SMU game. I expect a much larger and louder crowd than I would have had we lost last night
  10. @UNTLiferalready hit on it, but this is the very reason he gets so upset. I can guarantee the coaches have had these conversations before real game situations countless times…possibly even right before the game. On a related note, I’d be willing to bet that nobody was congratulating those very same kids more after the game than PB.
  11. I agree, and I just don’t get it. 1) Most people have UTEP picked to finish ahead of us this year. 2) UTEP was favored. 3) We’ve traveled to El Paso five times in the past 10 years and have not beaten them by such a wide margin and I can guarantee you most of the their teams in the past 10 years are not as good as this one. We beat what will probably be a middle of the pack conference foe by 18 points on the road and that’s not good enough. I understand having high expectations, but I also understand realistic expectations. Great win!!! Let’s get another one at home on Saturday.
  12. If you’d like a laugh or two on your Sunday afternoon, go back and read page 4 of this thread. There are some over-reacting Hot Sports Opinions🤣🤣🤣
  13. Derail, but why is #24 in that picture?
  14. Arguably our best unis. Bonus: names on back
  15. @GMG_Dallas, @Censored by Laurie, and @TheColonyEagle for providing me a different perspective on student loan forgiveness. Not sure why the thread was closed as it sure didn’t seem to me to go off the rails. I actually thought most of the thread was a good discussion. Anyway, since I didn’t get a chance to post before the lock, I wanted to specifically thank those I mentioned because they gave me a different lens from which to view the whole situation and gave me something to think about. I’m sure this thread will be locked too, which is fine. I just wanted to publicly say thank you. Also, thanks to @El Paso Eaglefor getting the discussion started.
  16. With a nod to our depth chart and all of the “OR’s”, give me Aune OR Adaway OR Bush.
  17. Only one SR listed on offense and 3 on defense. Nice.
  18. I always thought Cougar High was a shot at academics, not athletics.
  19. MGSF NIL as is stands is possibly the worst thing to ever happen to college sports. Now, get the NIL instituted with some rules and regulations that honor its original intent and this is not even a question because boosters aren’t supposed to be bankrolling “NIL.”
  20. When you say Aunulty, I get the point. but you said McNulty as if SL was the one that started him. Thanks for clarifying.
  21. This was your answer to the question, “If Littrell beat UTEP will you forgive his past sins?” I take that to mean, no, you will not forgive his past sins and that SL starting McNulty sealed the deal for you. So yeah, I guess I missed your point.
  22. Ummmm…McNulty was Lil Mac, not Lil Mumbles.
  23. They should go ahead and use his name and likeness: “At Raisin’ Canes, we don’t raise our chickens to be quitters like Brennan. Our chickens are committed to the job so that you can enjoy a nice meal.”
