  1. That a way to gift Army the ball almost already in field goal position. So stupid!
  2. Army is doing to us what they do to everyone… nothing more, nothing less. 3 yards and a cloud of dust and control the clock. I figured some of you will be happy if we only give up 20 something points. Plus we’re getting screwed.
  3. If you’re serious, that’s crazy and I’m sorry.
  4. I would bet Memphis didn’t have near as many possessions against those teams and I bet they didn’t start three drives in plus territory. Our defense is not good, but our fast paced offense and disregard for field position doesn’t help them.
  5. I didn’t really post this because we had a bye last week, it just kind of worked out that way. I just thought it was interesting that the assumption that a bye week is advantageous was proven false by 20 years of data according to the WF coach.
  6. Interesting bit of information from the Cal/WF game. The WF coach did a study going back 20 years and the team coming off a bye week was at a disadvantage in the game following the bye week. Due to getting out of a routine…at least that’s the thought as to why.
  7. I agree. I’m not a fan of the black, but with the green pants…not a bad look at all. Throw on a green helmet and I might actually be a fan of these.
  8. I feel like I’ve seen it a few times, but I could be wrong. Surely OkSt, TCU, Baylor, or Oregon have done it, right?
  9. I agree with you from the talent standpoint, but I always question these type of guys. From Baton Rouge, but went to TC Cedar Hill. Signed with aTm, then went to SMU, then to Memphis, now to ??? No stability whatsoever and I think there’s a reason for that. Not sure what the reason is, but it’s not good.
  10. He’s a Texas boy from Abernathy, so this is about as close to home as he’ll get to play.
  11. Special arrangement, I believe that was part of the agreement for Army joining the AAC. They don’t play each other until after the conference championship game.
  12. This isn’t unique to the Tulane game. Memphis and Texas Tech both started drives on our side of the field 3 times, plus Tech had a pick 6.
  13. Pointing out that the offense isn’t blameless isn’t the same as saying they’re the issue.
  14. They will trail in a game for the first time this season.
  15. For reference, Wyoming beat Air Force 31-19.
  16. Army’s good, but not great. For those who complain that we haven’t beaten a team with a winning record, check out Army’s schedule. We’d be undefeated and either ranked or receiving votes with their schedule. I think they’ll be the 4th best team we’ve played this year.
  17. You may not want me, but you’ve got at least one other person on that hill with you.
  18. So you’re saying if Texas Tech had beaten us by a field goal that the general public wouldn’t view us more favorably? And I don’t know the attendance for the Wyoming game, but I bet it would have been much higher if the Tech game had been close.
  19. I understand that, but I’d rather give up 45 and lose by 8 than give up 34 and lose by 31. I know I’m in the minority though. I also understand that you guys want to keep our offense and just have Charlotte’s defense (in this example), but that’s not the way it works. Also, our special teams that gave Tulane the ball inside the 25 didn’t help either. So I guess we probably should wish we had Charlotte’s special teams as well.
  20. Tulane beats us by 8 and Charlotte by 31 and the takeaway is that Charlotte has a better defense than us?
  21. This is the first thought I had. I’d always said “no,” but a poster on here made me look at it differently. If Jamario’s career had gone in reverse and his freshman season was his senior season, he’s a no-brainer. But, that wasn’t the case, so it’s debatable. As for Chandler, I say no to anyone who only played one year, no matter how great the season.
  22. If the only two choices are that or hire LaTech’s DC, I’ll say yes.
  23. I feel like any true competitor would look back on the decision with regret. Yeah, they made some good money, but they missed out on a season or two of playing college football and possibly being in the UNT Hall of Fame. Plus, though unlikely, their chance of going to the NFL would be better than zero.
  24. Not sure that UCF doing it makes it a best practice.
