I was just joking, but they are similar in the fact that Jerry said there were plenty of coaches who could win Super Bowls for Dallas, and many of us say there are plenty of coaches who can replicate SL’s mediocre results. Jerry was wrong and we may be too.

We should wear them every homecoming. This x 1,000. Our main logo other than the once a year “flying worm” should be the “SOW” and our color should be Kelly green (or whatever the official color is called). The SOW should be our Longhorn, Mustang, aTm, etc. It needs to be the logo that when people see it, they know it’s North Texas.

Me too, because we have been FIU for many of the past 30 years. I want more, but I don’t ever want to go back to those days.

The anecdote is great (I can just picture the ride home) and I understand the point you’re trying to make. BUT, we’re the young son playing with kids our own age. If Iowa St. came down and dominated CUSA, that would be like the average older brother playing against the younger kids.

If we win the conference, he’s a shoo-in. I’d like to see the standards raised, but he’d deserve it based on current criteria.
