  1. If there’s a player who’s had plenty changes of scenery it’s JT Daniels. But I guess his fourth college could be the one where everything finally clicks.
  2. I listed my top 4 a few days ago and he wasn’t on my list, but I’m really starting to think he might be the best option.
  3. I agree and I sure hope we’re right.
  4. I haven’t read the article, but saying he has the business community behind him makes me think NIL. I haven’t considered it before, but some of these college kids who aren’t going to make it in the NFL will take a pay cut once they graduate. That’s crazy.
  5. Did you not hear the news? Littrell was fired.
  6. I’m glad he came back this year and I bet he is too. Had he left, he obviously wouldn’t have gotten this award and he wouldn’t be a future MG HOF member. He left a legacy instead of just being another good player at UNT.
  7. I saw that. I should have spent 30 seconds on Google before posting instead of after😂.
  8. I wish every kid in that meeting would hit the portal. Deion is very good at making it all about him. He’s such a fraud.
  9. I’m not going to say I’d be happy at .500, but if we were competing for conference titles and NOT getting blown out 3-4 times a year I could sure be more accepting of it.
  10. I wouldn’t hire a guy like that either. There is more to the example I gave, but I’m not going to go into it here.
  11. Well, she’d be the first women in the NFL so it’d make a great story if it were to happen🤣
  12. @laxtontobeat me to it, but Google Prime Prep Academy. Rules don’t apply to Deion. His attempt to recruit players and build sports dynasties at a charter school were thwarted by the UIL (and other reasons). He then went to TCA Cedar Hill. Still recruited players, but then it was legal (as far as I know) since it was a private school. At both TCA Cedar Hill and Jackson St. he won, but he had far superior talent.
  13. Sometimes people (schools) are too smart for their own good. I know of a high school that turned down a coach who was known to be good because he didn’t interview well. Guy went on to win at least one state championship at another school. The high school that turned him down has since been through 3 other coaches and have never made it further than the regional finals. I don’t care if a guy can interview well. I care if he can coach well.
  14. My top 4 are Morris, Riley, Fuente, and Holtz…probably in that order. For me, Holtz is definitely #4, but I switch the order of my top 3 a few times a day.
  15. I voted Fuente because I think he’ll be the choice. He’s not my favorite, but I’m warming up to the idea.
  16. Agree. He may just be my #1 candidate.
  17. Has he not strengthened his resume this year? He’s the OC for the #3 team in the nation. That’s pretty solid.
  18. It’s a whole lot different comparing coaching ability as opposed to playing ability. There are a lot of coaches kids who become good coaches because they’ve been around it all their life and they understand the game. I just think it shows a pedigree. Not the reason you hire him, but a feather in his cap.
  19. He’s the offensive coordinator for the #3 team in the nation. He has strong Texas ties. His brother is a successful head coach. I’m sure there are many other reasons, but there are a few off the top of my head.
  20. He should be pretty close to getting that UTSA Associates degree by now.
  21. I may now like Colorado less than I like aTm.
  22. One year at UNT in ‘92-‘93, so let’s call it limited college coaching experience.
  23. Former Carrollton RLTurner and Mansfield Summit head coach. Was OC at Nebraska, Ohio St, Texas, and most recently NC St. I mentioned his name when we hired SL. Always thought he’d be a good fit here.
  24. Do you really think this was done with no thought put into how it might all play out? This decision has been in the making for a month or so. It wasn’t a member of this knee-jerking message board who made the decision.
