  1. I understand that Jordan is its own brand now, but the silhouette of a guy dunking a basketball seems very unstable on football gear. And I was a big Michael Jordan fan back in the 80’s and 90’s, so no hate on the Jordan brand.
  2. I don’t think @cousin oliveris a Boomer, but I could be wrong.
  3. Off topic, but I’d take that 1980 schedule, minus the 9 away games.
  4. I respectfully disagree and not because I’m a huge fan of the font. I think this is why we have so many logos, etc. We keep something for 10 years (or less) and decide we need to “update” our look. Classic looks become classic because teams stick with them. Like it or hate it, North Texas should be synonymous with that font, just as we should be with the SOW.
  5. I like all of the ones you listed. I’ll add Counting Crows: August and Everything After. Fantastic album IMO.
  6. I’m in the camp of, I love the worm, but only once a year…which seems to be how it’s been used. I don’t mind it being on apparel. I’ve actually bought a couple of flying worm shirts lately. That being said, the diving eagle needs to be our main logo and it should never change. Never. As long as there is an UNT, our main logo should be the Kelly green diving eagle.
  7. I admire your commitment to the program.
  8. Quinn would seem to have a bright future in whatever he pursues. I wish he were staying at UNT, but it will be good for him to “leave the nest” and get some experience elsewhere. I’d love to see him climb the coaching ladder and come back to his dream job several years from now.
  9. I pretty much agree with your entire post, but this part is what really bothers me about NIL. Bijan Robinson was making $2mil this year, which I think is ridiculous, but at least he’s done it at the college level. How can a high school kid that 99% of America has never heard of be worth $9.5mil, much less $13mil. How is that NIL? My prediction is that kids like this will often be busts because they will have no incentive to work and get better. I bet many of them blow through the money, don’t make it in the NFL, and don’t leave school with a degree. Unintended consequences.
  10. I know this should bother me, especially because I really like Gaddie, but I'm honestly not concerned. It's odd, because I would typically be very upset upon reading the thread title.
  11. Thoughts? I kind of like it. They also have one with the Battle Flag on back, but shockingly, the colors are wrong.
  12. Would be interesting to see how many hometown kids stay in their college town. Denton-UNT, Austin-UT, Lubbock-TT, etc. Lots of variables, but are our numbers any worse than other schools?
  13. I just made a big haul at Rally House. In Frisco, you have two Rally House options: inside Stonebriar and the shopping center just north of the Stonebriar (Target shopping center). Free shipping on orders over $100 via the website. The downside of Rally House is that everything is usually full price in my experience. Not too many bargains to be had.
  14. This is kind of how I feel. I mean, what are the odds of getting severely injured in a game? If you consider all of the players who play in all of the games throughout the college football season, the odds of sustaining a serious injury have to be extremely low. Not astronomical, but very low.
  15. I obviously hate that KD was injured, but I don’t feel any worse than if he’d have been hurt in any of the previous 13 games. His team had a game that they earned the right to play in and he was suited up along side his teammates just as he’d been for the previous 13 games. Good for him. I hope he makes a full recovery and gets a shot in the NFL. On another note, I wish Oscar would have sat out the WKU game.
  16. I think I’ve come to believe that there should be a one time transfer with immediate eligibility at the new school. I don’t like it, but it’s probably the right thing to do. Any subsequent transfer should have some type of restriction and should be known as the JT Daniel’s rule.😂😉
  17. I’m posting this against my better judgment, but how can he ever be hired again, but Briles can’t? FWIW, I agree with that he will be coaching again and I don’t necessarily think he shouldn’t be allowed to.
  18. USC is 8/9 on 3rd down conversions. If Tulane can get a few stops, they have a good chance to win. I’m a Green Wave fan today.
  19. Will you forgive Seth for his handling of our QB’s if Aune is our starter next season?
  20. We agree about wanting TCU to win it all. It gives me a sliver of hope that it really could be UNT at some point.
