This is my hope as well, thus my post that IF it survives we’re screwed. Things are really looking up right now. I’ve never been more excited about the future of athletics. So, a scenario where the PAC looses six schools and backfills with AAC schools is scary. It would pretty much negate the progress it seems like we’ve made in the past year.

I fear if many current PAC schools leave, they will backfill with MWC and AAC which leaves us pretty much where we just came from. It’s could be reminiscent of our move from the Belt to CUSA. Now, if they fill with just MWC, we will still be okay. Additionally, if they basically stay put with what they have now, we’ll be okay. I definitely don’t see them standing pat though.

True. Even as I typed what I did, it felt like I was downplaying the INT’s when, as UNT fans the past few years, we know what game changers they can be😩😂

Too much of a good thing…

I forgot all about the game yesterday. I watched last week and planned to watch yesterday. Based on the one game I saw, I agree with some of the things that have been said: bad o-line, questionable play calling at times, no run game (see bad o-line). I hope Mason continues to get the starts. He’s put up good numbers except of course the INT’s.

I think this is best case scenario for UNT. Otherwise we may end up in CUSA 2.0.

I failed to mention it, but the school I referenced is a small 3A.

A buddy of mine is an administrator at a central Texas high school that begins with the letter “M”. They received a “cease and desist” order from University of Miami Ohio because they were using the same “M” font. Not even the same color, just the same font. Seemed very petty to me, but @TripleGradmay be correct. If you don’t defend it I suppose you could lose it.

I didn’t double check this, but I think Mason was 32-41 for 287 yards 0TD 2 INT Saskatchewan only had about 15 yards rushing.

Terrible late game play calling and clock management by Saskatchewan.

I’ve never seen fewer yards after catch. Mason completes the pass and the receiver is immediately tackled. It’s unreal.

Mason is 18-22 for 133 yards at the half. Down 7-3.

It blows my mind that some of you think UNT is the superior team in this series. I’d be willing to bet on a national level, a random poll would show 80% of people think more highly of Wyoming than UNT. I hope that changes in the next few years, but right now that’s the truth.

As opposed to today when you might have to watch a game for a few minutes to figure out who’s playing.

I too respect NT80’s opinion. I just thought it was funny to highlight that we are a winning program and then show our all-time record which is two games over .500. Winning? Officially, yes. Thus my statement, can’t argue facts.

Please re-read my response. I didn’t say Wyoming had great name recognition, only that it’s better than most other OOC opponents who have visited Denton in the past 30 years. I also ended by saying it was a sad but true statement. That being said, Wyoming moves the needle more on a national level than North Texas. If for no other reason than one of the best QB’s in the NFL played there a few years ago. I also never said it was a great series, but I certainly think we’ve done much worse over the last 30 years. Like it or not, Wyoming is a peer institution (though they would probably disagree). I’m already typing so I may as well address the “.500 club over the last 3 years.” This kind of proves the point that they’re a peer institution, even though their .500 record has been achieved playing in a better conference.
