  1. I don’t know that it’s extending games into unreasonable lengths, but it causes my blood pressure to rise🤣🤣 It’s odd, because I’m really a very laid-back person that doesn’t let much bother me. But instant replay in college football…my gosh it drives me nuts.
  2. My big issue is that they spend extra time and still get it wrong. My opinion is that instant replay wasn't designed to break down film frame by frame to get the "correct" call. It was designed to be able to correct an obvious wrong call.
  3. I edited my post regarding the part about it extending “great” games. I misspoke because all games would be extended, not just close ones. I’ll defer to you regarding “The Drive.” I thought/assumed we benefited from a stopped clock after a first down. Even more incredible if we didn’t. I agree with you that 3:30 games are too long in general. Final point, and I’m sure many will disagree, but I’m not a fan of different rules at different points in the game. If the rules are the same for the entire game, the final 2 minutes might not matter.
  4. This is not directed at you @NT80 because I’ve seen several people say this about how the SOW fits on the helmet. My question is this: Why can’t it be sized to appropriately fit the helmet?
  5. “The Drive” doesn’t happen under this rule.
  6. I don’t think I’m going to be a fan of this rule. I always preferred the college rule to the NFL rule.
  7. Well said. And I personally don’t love the interlocking NT, but your list of examples from other schools could go on for pages…and I say that to say, you make an excellent point.
  8. Not so fast, my friend.
  9. 1994-2013
  10. That’s a nice read, especially if, like me, you’re becoming a little jaded to college athletics. Thanks Kai
  11. How can you not root for that kid?!!
  12. Reminds of the Stacy King quote after Michael Jordan scored 69 points in a game. “I’ll always remember this as the night Michael Jordan and I combined for 70 points.”🤣🤣
  13. Seems like a great hire. I remember him as a hard-nosed, get-after-it kind of player. Nobody was going to outwork him. And yes, lights out shooter.
  14. Thank you. I was trying to figure out what I was missing…Class of 2024 at Crandall HS, yet he’s a JUCO transfer who will be here in the fall??? I’m not the sharpest guy, but I knew that didn’t add up😀
  15. “Judy MacLeod is one of the best commissioners is all the NCAA” Ok, maybe not a direct quote, but the guy broadcasting our NIT games with Frascella said something very similar…on more than one occasion.🤔
  16. I don't watch the news a lot, but when I do, I usually watch WFAA. I've heard her mention UNT during the newscast on several occasions. If only all the local media members who are UNT grads were as vocal/supportive as she and George Dunham. Thanks for sharing!
  17. That shirt could be incorporated into the commercial with the girl in her PJ’s.
  18. A few facts that lead me to believe we are a little better that "69th best." 1) FAU in the Final Four. They beat us by 4 points twice. That alone shows we belong in the discussion of best teams in the country 2) Best NET ranking that didn't make the tournament. Our NET ranking was solid, but I'd say we were underrated at 39. 3) UAB making the NIT final. This just shows that the conference as a whole was underrated. I know, I'm preaching to the choir.
  19. Based on the thread title, you should have gone with your instincts. That being said, I hope reading the replies gives you and your friends a better perspective.
  20. Entertaining thread. Did some of you guys expect him to wear a UNT shirt to Tech? He has to put on the appearance that he is excited to be at Tech (which I’m sure he is). That doesn’t mean that he doesn’t care for UNT. I’m sure there’s a part of him that wishes he were staying. I feel certain that he wishes he had another week or two in Denton to celebrate with the team and staff. Unfortunately for him (and us) that’s not the way it worked out. I don’t see how you could have hard feelings for a coach who gave us everything he had and took our university to heights it’s never known.
