I had a great time as I usually do. Some great observations made in this thread. I drive right at 2 hours to the games, so I got a head start on the drive home and didn’t stay for the drone show. I wanted to, but I knew I could be about halfway home by the time it ended. Glad to hear it was worth staying for though. Next time I might choose to stay. Minor complaint: Why can’t the NE scoreboard show more scores? It kept showing the same 9 scores over and over. I’ve noticed in the past they don’t show a lot of scores, but never realized it was so few. I don’t want scores constantly running, but maybe during a timeout run through 20-30 different games.

Yeah, you may be right. Bad assumption on my part that they only design the uniforms and not the helmets too.

I don’t know which would be worse, calling off the dogs after one quarter or only being able to beat an average FCS team by 14.

That Arizona St. uniform looks pretty good. The helmet…not so much, but I assume Adidas isn’t designing the helmet.

The 1st quarter is the way an FBS team is supposed to dominate an FCS team. After the 1st quarter the offense wasn’t great and the defense is what we’ve come to expect after 4 weeks. We were outscored after the 1st quarter and that’s pretty sad. I know the drive to start the 2nd half was 15 plays and 75 yards in about 5:00, but I thought it was pretty underwhelming considering the opponent.

A local school district to me had a bond election to build an indoor facility (which passed by the way). The superintendent said something to the effect of, “All the other local districts have indoor facilities and our kids deserve to have one too.”

Your point is valid, but I think you have to go to 4A, maybe even 5A to get a stadium with 8,000 seats.

This guy has made $45k and lives rent-free in a high rise apartment…all while redshirting. It’s not even pay to play, it’s pay to be on the team and maybe play in the future. I think we’d all take that deal.

100% True. I don’t blame the players, I just don’t like the system. It’s pay to play under the code name NIL.

I didn’t watch much of the Cal game, but I believe they were down 14-0 before Washington’s offense ever took a snap. That’s hard to overcome for any team, especially an underdog who knows everything has to go right if they want to have a chance at an upset. Probably going to be a tough year for Cal, but who expected the PAC 12 to be so loaded.

Fun fact: Their head coach is Tim Beck who was head coach at RL Turner and Mansfield Summit

I looked up the scoring summary because I was interested to see how they went from 3 points to 21 points. Three touchdowns with three failed 2 point conversions. I like our odds against them if it comes down to a 2 point conversion.🤣🤣

Everybody’s been doing it wrong for years. It took Deion to figure out that going first is the better strategy. The ESPN worship of Deion and “Grown” was an absolute beating. I’d be irate if I were a Colorado St. fan who had to listen to it for 4 quarters.

My son’s high school coach said there’s no such thing as a “gamer.”Could explain why he’s no longer a head coach🤣🤣 On another note, QB issues are not unique to UNT. Alabama and Ohio St., to name two schools, have played multiple QB’s so far this season and I think both of those schools have decent coaches who also got to judge their QB’s in the spring and in fall camp.

I thought so at first, but on the replay I thought he got just past the 10 yard line. I would have liked to have seen a measurement based on an accurate spot. He may have still been short, but I think it would have been very close. One thing’s for sure, the original spot was absolutely horrible.

Probably true, but when you’re 7-5 and play in the conference championship game and almost win a bowl game, it’s not nearly as apparent as when you’re 1-11 (Colorado) or 4-8 (TxSt).
