  1. I’ve watched several of Chad and Sara’s videos and I enjoy them. I’ve found a few good pours based on their review/recommendation. This video is from three years ago, but I thought it was very appropriate for this thread.
  2. I hope this thread is not for real. The guy makes $1.1 million a year to run the athletic department. Part of running an athletic department is firing a coach. In my opinion, this is about an easy a firing as you could hope for. Huggins basically gave him no choice.
  3. Win the games we should win (minus La. Tech) and be competitive in every game. Where do we sign up? I’d have a hard time being upset if this is the way the season plays out.
  4. Aune gets a hard time on here, but he’s in pretty rare company to have been signed by both the MLB and the NFL.
  5. My daily/mixer is usually Evan Williams 1783 or Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. My splurge is usually to try something new, but I’m currently enjoying Four Roses Single Barrel, Basil Hayden Rye, and Old Forester 1910. My favorite Texas is TX Blended. I really like it, but the price has gone up to where I seldom get it anymore. I toured Witherspoon and bought some bourbon, but honestly didn’t really care for it. I bought the Desert Door sotol after sampling it at Total Wine. I thought it would be a good substitute for tequila in margaritas, but not so much. I bought it probably at least two years ago and I bet I haven’t had half the bottle.
  6. I’ve said all along, there are going to be upset/disappointed fan bases because someone has to lose. I think they’re killing the game when they think they’re making it better.
  7. AAC>MWC
  8. I hope most players at SFA are good enough for Carthel but not for us.
  9. Sam Adams Summer Ale Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy Revolver Blood and Honey (and the new Blood and Honey Light)
  10. Always good to see this type of thing. Thanks for posting. Way to go Nick!!!
  11. These are okay, but not great. I’d like to see the Scrappy shirt in green. My favorite is probably the green shirt with the 80’s logo which makes sense based on my age. I’m not crazy about the Spiriki, but it might grow on me. I think it’s a cool concept to have on a shirt since it’s actually a part of the game day experience. A bit pricey, but I’ll most likely get one or two.
  12. I may not want to know the answer to this.
  13. Homefield is a brand. I don’t think they’ll be carrying Nike.
  14. I agree that we should market the Cal game hard. I just think you could leave off “the first Power Five opponent to visit Denton since 2011.” Something like: UNT will host the Cal Golden Bears of the PAC 12 to open the season This identifies them as a school from a known conference without implying that they and their ilk are superior to us.
  15. This looks really bad and if proven true, he needs to pay the price. Re: The Tweet by Justis M. trying to make a connection with Art Briles at Stephenville is ridiculous. Briles left Stephenville before Renfro was even born. The fact that they both have a connection to Stephenville is nothing more than a coincidence. Now, the connection to Baby Briles…not saying there’s anything to it, but it’s definitely worth mentioning.
  16. But did you mention that Cal was a P5 school and we haven’t hosted one since 2011?🤣🤣
  17. We’re not helping ourselves to appear as equals when we use playing a middling P5 school as a marketing tool.
  18. Only aTm would have a maroon out against an opponent that’s maroon. There’s an aggie joke in there somewhere🤣🤣
  19. I believe you failed to mention the two most important things these students athletes are getting: an education and lots of networking connections.
  20. Nope. I could be wrong, but I don’t think college recruiters go by what 24/7 sports has to say. I figure it’s more likely that the ratings services see who’s recruiting a kid and they get rated accordingly.
  21. And to add to it, where was Auburn 4 years ago when UNT was giving you a full ride and a chance to even get a “better job?
  22. To clarify, I’m not saying that Jamario shouldn’t be in the HOF, I’m saying that he shouldn’t be on his freshman season alone. While he obviously never reached near that level of performance again, he did have almost 1700 yards rushing in his final three seasons and led the team in rushing his junior and senior seasons.
