That helmet was kind of cool as a throwback to honor a team from the past who wore them. Not so cool as our main helmet. But at least it’s green, so there’s that.

I would think losses to KSt and OU would be enough to keep Tulane out, but who knows. Honestly, those two losses make a pretty good case against Tulane getting in since they have no signature win except Navy…if that’s even a great win.

Would be interesting to see their offense vs our defense.

13-0 run late in the 2nd half when OSU had a chance to blow it open. That’s not bad. Free throw shooting scares me as it seems to every year.

Exactly. As a young high school basketball coach, our best 3 point shooter was something like 1-12 from the field. We call a TO at the end of the game down by two points. Head coach draws up a play for the kid who was 1-12. Nothing but the bottom of the net, we win by one. I learned a valuable lesson that night because there’s no way I would have drawn up a play to him in that situation.

Not so fast. Eric Morris was 5-1 too.🤣

Wyoming almost beat Boise last night, so that win looks a lot better. just kidding.

I know it happens; I just question whether middle schoolers do it consistently.

For most teams, punting it away would have been reasonable, but I would have lost my mind if we’d punted based on our tendencies. I feel like we’ve gone for it with very similar field position in the first half of games this year.

Admittedly it was over 15 years ago, but I coached middle school football for 5 years and only saw one field goal made that I can recall. Maybe things have changed.

It was one of the few going for it on 4th downs I agreed with this year. Didn’t particularly like the 3rd down or 4th down play calls though.

Just as losing to a ranked UTSA team a few years ago would have been the better result for the program. Are we the only team that actually loses by winning?

They lost to them worse than we did and I sure wouldn’t say we put up a good fight. But I agree that we may not beat Temple.

I felt like the Army game did that…and I thought UTSA was even worse than this. But, that’s all a matter of opinion. We all agree it’s been a BAD 3-5 games.

I’m not saying he didn’t score, but those camera angles sure didn’t help on the review. edit to add: I wish that would have been the only camera angles we had on McGill’s non-TD against Army.

Glad we called a timeout to help ECU out on that scoring drive.
