  1. I’ll be down low in 211 baking in the sun. Stop by and we can debate winged helmets.🤣🤣
  2. Now see, that’s the kind of original thinking that will make sure our helmets aren’t confused with any other team.🤣🤣🤣
  3. I know m beating a dead horse, but like @greenminer said, I’m just trying to understand if you really don’t think the helmets are similar or if you’re just f’ing with me🤣 BUT… I can find four distinct differences in most identical twins. Doesn’t mean they don’t have the same DNA.
  4. I'm not trying to say they're identical. Ours is clearly a blown-up version of the SOW. What I'm saying is that they're similar enough to know the 2nd version (ours...and many other schools) is a modified version of the 1st (Oregon's). To argue that point seems disingenuous, stubborn, or ignorant. Regardless, I'll be in section 211 cheering (and sweating) regardless of what helmet we're wearing.
  5. I’m glad to see Adaway at the top of the RB list. I love our running backs and think they’re great, but Oscar just seems on a little bit different level. Ashton referenced this on Barber Shop podcast and I completely agree.
  6. Probably not in a thread asking which helmet is your favorite🤣
  7. You are correct, they’re not similar when you see the entire animal and not just the feathers.
  8. Do you seriously not think they’re similar?
  9. I ordered mine online last week and got an email with my tickets pretty much instantly.
  10. I don’t guess I understand what you’re proposing. Can you give an example of what this might look like?
  11. Maybe it’s just me, but that Rice/Philadelphia Eagles wing doesn’t look too similar to the Oregon wing that everyone has copied🤣. I can’t argue that ours looks better than anyone else’s. I mean, that’s just a fact!! GMG
  12. If someone had done a poll at the end of Spring ball, how many votes would Stone have gotten as QB1 to start the season. I love it that the coaches opened up a true competition to find the best QB. I’ve seen a few posts saying things such as “Stone has moxie”, “Stone has IT”, “ Stone is the dawg” and I tend to agree even though I admittedly have very little knowledge of him. I just liked his presence in his limited action last season. He gave off a vibe that he belonged on the field and that he was going to have success. As others have said, I’m not crazy about the “both QB’s will play,” but until proven otherwise I trust this staff to use them wisely.
  13. Haha. Just so we know it’s not my memory of when it happened.
  14. They had them almost 5 years before us.
  15. Oregon was obviously the first school to have the feathered helmet. Were we the first to have it in green and white? I guess so, but many schools have copied Oregon’s original design…even if they’ve modified it to some degree.
  16. You have no choice but to agree. It’s not debatable🤣🤣
  17. I love the Flying Worm, but like that it’s only used as a throwback. I prefer a pretty basic helmet, so give me green with white SOW home and white with green SOW away. I used to be very anti- enlarged wing, but I would be okay with either of those in white or green also. Can we just delete Row 4? What a terrible run of helmets.
  18. You make a great point that I failed to mention: we’ve been blown out in 7 winnable games over the past two seasons.
  19. I tend to agree. I’ll also add that we have to keep the losses respectable. The 20+ point losses (7 times) the last two seasons were what sent me over the edge.
  20. Bad memories. Being a fan in those days was tough.
  21. What if, in your haste, you name the wrong starter? In my opinion, nothing brings out the best (and sometimes worst) in a player better than a tight competition. And, as @Cr1028 mentioned, game planning for Cal most likely won’t start until the 28th.
