I would have killed for this team and these opponents at this stadium when I was a student.

Definitely disappointing, but I’d rather play on Saturday’s with these ratings than on weekdays with a little bit better rating. On another note, doesn’t the low rating say more about a ranked Tulane than it does about us?

My first reaction as well.

I feel like the schedule got much easier rather than us improving in 2021. If SL were still here, I think we would have: 1) Gotten hammered by Cal 2) Beaten FIU handily 3) Beaten LaTech by 10-14 4) Beaten ACU comparably 5) Gotten hammered by Navy 6) Beaten Temple by 10-14 points 7) Gotten hammered by Tulane So, we’d have a better record, but we’d have been blown out 3 times instead of once. I also think I would be less optimistic about being competitive the last month of the season and beyond.

I felt like there was just something off with Chandler Rogers in the 1st half. But 2nd half…best he’s played all year, and that’s saying a lot.

I agree, but was thinking more along the line of 35-24. While I obviously won’t be happy with a loss, I’m just hoping for a competitive game. One of my biggest complaints about SL was that we often seemed to get wiped out in a game like this.

I’m talking about data from this season, last season, the past five seasons…Anything relevant.

I’m not disagreeing with you because you may be right, but football was played for years with teams often not having contrasting helmets. I’d love to see some analytics on this: Completion %, interceptions thrown, etc.

I agree with the “posting in real time when it’s raw” premise, but I’ve checked game threads when I wasn’t able to watch the game and I would have bet good money we were down 21 points only to find out we were tied. It’s crazy.

This is exactly what I think happened. Maybe not that Rogers did anything wrong, but maybe he didn’t step up. Maybe he thought he was the de facto starter 1) because he transferred here and 2) he knew he was the best player. Morris had to show Rogers what it was going to take to play QB at UNT. There was short term pain, but the long term benefit will be worth it.
