  1. But doesn’t it make our loss to Tulane look worse?🤔 I’ll go ahead and add the reaction to save some of you the time: 🙄🙄🙄🙄
  2. I guess I’m one of the few who doesn’t think they’ve passed us by. Have they gained ground? Sure. Will they bypass us? Maybe. Other than the UTSA results, I just don’t see how they’ve bypassed us, and I think those results are an outlier. Seems to me like UTSA was playing much better later in the season than they were early on.
  3. I hate that for Sam Houston. Give guys a chance that most schools didn’t want and this is the reward. If you’ll excuse me now, I just noticed some clouds outside that I need to yell at.
  4. Not to derail the thread, but I think this part is important for those who say we’re no better than we were two years ago. It’s not a lot better, but I think being 6-6 in the AAC is better than 6-6 in C-USA. As to the hire, I probably shouldn’t have an opinion because I really know nothing about him other than what I’ve read here, but it seems like a solid hire. Not a home run, but solid.
  5. My first thought as well.
  6. NIL alone doesn’t win. I honestly don’t know much about his coaching, but I have to think he’s pretty good. Benching your returning starter QB in favor of a redshirt freshman was a bold move, but it proved to be the correct one.
  7. “A massive beat down” or “we can lose to anyone”? Seems like a huge difference.
  8. I’m kind of hoping we play TxSt so many on here can see that they won’t “beat us down” (or various other ways of saying they will beat us bad) or that I can be proven wrong if they do. I never thought I’d see the day that we are scared of TxSt, especially when I don’t see a reason that we should be. We’re scared of a 7-5 team from the Sun Belt????
  9. I just realized this as well and posted about it in another thread.
  10. I referenced the UTSA win in my original post. Sorry, but I don’t think that’s a reason to be scared of them.
  11. So since they beat one more FBS school than us we should be scared of them? Plus, their strength of schedule is worse than ours. Similar, but worse. edit to add: They never had a 3 game stretch anywhere close to our Memphis, Tulane, Army stretch. edit part 2: They lost to 2 teams with losing records. We didn’t lose to anyone with a losing record.
  12. Wash St. 37 Texas Tech 16 Wyoming 15 Wash St 14 UNT 44 Wyoming 17 So obviously… Texas Tech 66 UNT 21
  13. 1. Transfers 2. Freshmen 3. Returning Players
  14. I don’t understand the fear of TxSt. Yeah, they beat UTSA bad early in the year, but they’re 7-5 and recently lost to 3-9 Georgia St. I wouldn’t guarantee a win against them, but I sure wouldn’t guarantee a loss either.
  15. What spots? 29 yard field goals?
  16. Several good games on that we could be watching, but instead we’re subjecting ourselves to this. Why???
  17. I would have been about 50 yards. Far from automatic.
  18. It’s kind of the same results but in a better conference.
  19. After this play, my son said, “It’s like North Texas isn’t allowed to have success.”
  20. I never mentioned improvement. I was only pointing out that Temple had begun 3 drives in our territory and only had 3 points to show for it. I obviously jinxed us though, based on what’s happened since my post.
  21. I think injuries are the reason. He won the starting job at TCU twice.
  22. Thanks. I should have prefaced by saying, “I realize it’s Temple.”
  23. I realize it’s Temple, but the defense is playing well. They’ve had 3 possessions start in our territory and only have 3 points to show for it.
  24. The barefoot punter and/or kicker. Don’t see that anymore.
