Calling This Before I Can Say "I Told You So"
NT93 replied to rojomojo's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I thought it was rhetorical question to get in a jab at that guy you have the love/hate relationship with. To answer your question, he’s correct. But what you did by calling the team “trash” hardly seems the same to me. -

Odd reply, but you’ve made it obvious that you have some sort of problem with @Censored by Laurie so I guess maybe I should have expected it to go there. -

This doesn’t sound like someone who “supports the team” as you ranted about a few weeks ago. -
Are you saying that losing the conference MVP was a big loss? No one could have expected that.

Breaking: Dripping Springs WR Kyle Koch Commits to North Texas

I got it, just hoping it’s a joke and not serious. Completely agree with your sentiment. -

Guessing this is supposed to be a joke. -
Seems to me to be a good chance to get him in the lineup and knock off any rust/get back to playing shape and work on the rotation.
-
I think any of the top 7 could legitimately win the tournament. I would be very scared of UNT (if we get healthy) and Memphis.

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

He lost me at “a coach has a contract.” -
Another example - FBS needs to restructure

When the big boys beat up on each other in conference it’s because the conference is deep, but when mid-majors do it, it’s because the conference is weak.
-
He should play when he’s cleared to play. Why leave a healthy starter on the bench? Edit after reading @Greendylan post. I agree. By being cleared to play, I meant that as being 100%.

The AAC has 7 teams that should be either NCAA or NIT. Based on only 3 teams listed in the NIT and no way 4 get in the NCAA, a couple of teams may get left out in the cold.
-
Stating the obvious here, but 6-0 is the ceiling and 4-2 is the floor. Not much room for error.
-
I saw Pat Benatar there in about ‘88. Not sure where that stands in the greatest moments at the Super Pit🤣🤣🤣
-
Who knew a middle of the pack AAC team would be discussed as a possible NCAA tournament darkhorse.
-
I guess we’re officially middle of the pack, but the difference between #1 through #7 is so, so small. There is absolutely no margin for error, yet we’re still competing against the best in the conference. I would be interested to see a stat that shows how many minutes of each game each team in the conference has been winning. It’s maddening how much we’ve been leading in most conference games only to lose in the end. And I’d say missing two starters, or lack of depth, play a big part in that.
-
On another note, Davis drains a well defended, off balance 3 pointer to beat us. Tonight he throws up a brick late in overtime.
-
1-7 in the AAC are very evenly matched. It’s a shame that probably 4 or 5 of these team will be left out of the NCAA tournament.
-
Honestly and no sarcasm here at all. I love the fact that a 5-7 record with most losses by less than 7 points means the ship has sunk. As a former coach once told me, “I’ll never apologize for having high expectations.”
-
The ship is sinking because our LB coach is taking the same job at Iowa St? I didn’t realize the LB coach was such a valuable commodity.

Agreed. 7-8 man rotation is what I’d think is pretty much the norm as far as players getting significant minutes. -
Wow! When I saw the thread title, I wondered what this had to do with UNT football. Pleasantly surprised.
